    Former Employee - Software Engineer

I worked at MStar Semiconductor full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

While I am working here, I learned basic software engineer stuff here such as linux command line, tracing code and some OS knowledge. I also earned part of my tuition for studying abroad.

    Cons

The working time is very long as I worked from 10AM to 11PM everyday. It is not work-life balance. Moreover, the computer provided by the company is not very stable which is a nightmare for a software engineer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The long working time doesn't mean better performance

Current Employee - Analog IC Design in Hsinchu (Taiwan)

I have been working at MStar Semiconductor full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I can do much more than just an analog IC designer, such as, how to integrate a TV IC with digital leader, APR and package leader. It's more complex but challenging work experience.

    Cons

At beginning, It's difficult for me to design IC and integrated the project simultaneously. So I was pushed to learn how to manage my time more efficiently. Now I can do it and I'll try to do it better.
