    Pros

People and facilities are generally very nice. Good benefits, vacation and parking. There has been a focus by senior on improving employee satisfaction and on building a stronger, more cohesive culture.

    Cons

It is tough to convince employees they are valued and that their contributions are appreciated while many of them are being let go. There's a lot of dissatisfaction among employees, particularly in IT.

    Advice to Management

Recognize that that the employees are an organization's greatest asset.

    Pros

Employees really care about members and generally work very hard. Call center and HR are good departments to work in.

    Cons

Financially unstable. Continuous layoffs, Strange decisions about who are the ones getting laid off so it makes morale even worse and everyone on edge. Those who are left are overworked. They stay because the pay is decent. Depressing. Too many layers of middle management. Talk behind each other's backs. Slow decision making. Don't see or hear from upper management much then makes people suspicious.

    Advice to Management

Be open about what's going on. Move faster.

    Pros

Good benefits, good co-workers, decent pay and a good location for me.

    Cons

Layoffs and poor management. The first round of layoffs were well before the ACA so they need to stop blaming that for everything. The downturn began when they lost Kodak and their first response was to go after employees, however, none of the 7th floor execs lost their jobs and that's where the problems lie. If a company is doing badly look to the leadership making the decisions not the people who get the day to day work done.

    Advice to Management

Take responsibility for your failings and fix it. Stop looking for a government to blame. Be accountable for your own mistakes and, if you're going to deal out pain, start on the 7th floor.

    Pros

    good cafeteria (but no grill).

    Cons

Score individuals in an arbitrary way & demonstrate very little professionalism in Customer Care, except for the one male manager. They do not create an open, encouraging, supportive environment, although that is one of their core values towards employees. For Customer Care, this does not exist, and they have created an environment where the staff is either looking for a new job or afraid of being fired. no integrity.

no support for staff in dealing with difficulties in other internal departments.

    Advice to Management

    fix it.
