    Pros

Strong training program, appreciation for working hard, opportunity to work with very smart colleagues, ability to plan out the work, not a fire-drill mentality, opportunity to make good money, ability to be proactive and own something

    Cons

Immature business processes, lack of accountability at the executive levels, too comfortable for under-performers

    Advice to Management

Drive some more business discipline and this has the potential to be a high performing company.

    Pros

    Projects are amazing resume builders.

    Cons

Don't expect much of any raises and promotion increases. A 2 % raise and 5% promotion is below average.

    Advice to Management

Pay your top talent or your competition will. They did for me (50% raise).

    Pros

great co-workers, SSC Council provides fun interactive monthly activities to boost morale

    Cons

High turnover rate, employees leave feeling undervalued, half of management lacks leadership and good work ethics, don't care if good SMART people leave, favoritism very prominent amongst certain employees

    Advice to Management

Empower, motivate and support your employees with not just great leadership but monetary incentive that makes them feel you're investing in them for long term

    Pros

International company which gives opportunity to interact with people all over the world.

    Cons

Management is a joke. It's all about who you know, not what you know. Most managers don't know what they're doing, and the ones that do act like they're on a pedestal. They have no interest in their employees so plan on coming in (over 40hrs a week) and just figuring out your job on your own (they don't like to train people either).

    Advice to Management

Ask the employees what they think of their manager

    Pros

Company has great talent available across the company.

    Cons

Senior level employees worried about company stock price and influenced decision process.

    Advice to Management

Find the right marketing personnel rather than use senior level managers to market company.

    Pros

Coworkers were nice and some of the projects that I had the opportunity to work on were interesting. Offices were modern and we had good equipment and software to work with.

    Cons

Good assignments and interesting projects were given to a small group of employees who were friends of the lead manager. Promoting from within wasn't done often enough, especially with high producing employees. Managers didn't trust employees to make good decisions.

    Advice to Management

Notice talent when you have have it and promote those people into bigger and better jobs. Don't pigeonhole employees into one job with no chance of advancement as people get bored and move on.

    Pros

Great health (medical, dental, vision options) and retirement fund matching benefits. Friendly, hard working employees many of whom were career employees. Work environment was positive and I would recommend this employer.

    Cons

Disclaimer: The water quality laboratory is no longer part of the company.

High productivity, long hours, and varying client schedules lead to a stressful work environment.

There was little or no career advancement at the laboratory side of the company, however I'm not sure if that is the same for the other divisions.
