I have been working at Maastricht University as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

    Convenience
    Contacts with students are nice
Building is nice, atmosphere in the building and department is enjoyable as well

    Cons

Salary of working hour is fine but salary of preparation hour is insufficient
Schedule does not always make sense : tutoring from 8.30 to 13.00 and then from 16.00 to 20.30
Overall organization is dependent on a lot of different factors which do not always make sense

    I worked at Maastricht University

    Pros

Great mentality of personnel, very team driven, flat hierarchy, and personal contact with academics. For students/graduates that are interested in service innovation, Service Science Factory is a wonderful company to work for.

    Cons

Even though I do not see it as a problem, some people may need more steering or hierarchy. In that case, you may want to reconsider working for Service Science Factory. Moreover, as a student consultant, you do not get paid. However, you do get a great learning experience in return for your work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you are doing, but do consider paying the students (maybe in the form of a bonus)

    I worked at Maastricht University

    Pros

You get the opportunity to get in contact with profs, which can help you to get recommendations or job opportunities.

    Cons

For students, there is little growth potential. Furthermore, the departments do not work together, so becoming aware of new opportunities is difficult.
