Innovative company with lots of freedom to develop yourself.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGreat mentality of personnel, very team driven, flat hierarchy, and personal contact with academics. For students/graduates that are interested in service innovation, Service Science Factory is a wonderful company to work for.

ConsEven though I do not see it as a problem, some people may need more steering or hierarchy. In that case, you may want to reconsider working for Service Science Factory. Moreover, as a student consultant, you do not get paid. However, you do get a great learning experience in return for your work.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep doing what you are doing, but do consider paying the students (maybe in the form of a bonus)

ProsChallenging, builds team management and project management skills. High pressure environment and good contact to potential employers.

ConsDifficult transition, many responsibilities get dropped on you from the get-go. Difficult to combine with study load at peak times.

Good as a job on the side

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsYou get the opportunity to get in contact with profs, which can help you to get recommendations or job opportunities.

ConsFor students, there is little growth potential. Furthermore, the departments do not work together, so becoming aware of new opportunities is difficult.
