Pros – Allows good work life balance and while there aren't a ton of perks but at least you can take care of things at home when you need to

Cons – The company works in silos and sometimes that adds to frustration

Pros – If you are a hard worker you will do well. If you slack off or just try to get by you may have trouble

Cons – There was some inconsistencies between managers. Some were fantastic and others were mediocre. It made a big difference in your experience as an employee.

Cons – Since departure of previous CEO the transparency from the top down has taken a serious hit
While the above is true, the corporate culture in the Phoenix Office has remained much the same, which is a good thing
Hold accountable those that are inneffective at or just plain avoid their jobs instead of letting them get others fired

Advice to Senior Management – For the IT department - Keep on doing what you're doing for the most part. It was great to work there and I would again down the road.
For Senior management, realize where the strength of the company really is and quit trying to morph into something that has been proven to not work in the industry.

Pros – they have hard working dedicated employees working to make a difference. they have a good portfolio and continue on making it better.

Cons – they use to share information about the direction of the of the company and now you have no idea. everything rolls down from the top and they do not share the company vision. not a lot of balance between work and personal life as expected to put in a lot of hours.

Pros – Competitive pay, decent training, company highly values its employees and treats them as true assets. High standards in property upkeep, customer experience, and marketing production. Macerich is a top notch REIT that knows what their doing.

Cons – Marketing efforts can be stale at times and driven from the top down. Frivilous events with limited payback and traffic generation. Localized creativity can be stifled by corporate marketing objectives. Marketing generates little to no revenue and is the first to go in lean times.

Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the great work and keep investing in your employees. Utilize marketing to bring in ad revenue as other management firms do.

Pros – I love the company. What started as a family owned company with a few malls has grown into a company with malls in over 10 states across the country.

Cons – The hours, dealing with the kids on the weekends. Also unless you are full time there are no benefits.
