Pros
Good line manager, working with some smart and talented people in the field. Exposure to a number of technologies and various vendors.
Cons
Senior management was sales driven and externally focussed, without attention to inner workings of company. Middle management scramble to impress, time not spent improving processes.
No training, zero focus on lower level employees. Absolutely no leading from the front or empowering of lower level employees. Very inconsistent service sold vs service provided introducing dishonesty.
Advice to Senior Management
Empower your employees - they are your most valuable asset. You have chosen an industry that requires intelligent people working for you, utilise their ability to criticise and encourage free communication of ideas. Be more honest to your customers - they are your bread and butter.
