    Pros

The people make the difference! Other than that, great benefits, continuing education, fun activities, bagel Fridays, and efforts made towards improving the culture from listening to employee feedback.

    Cons

No profit sharing match, not a good work/life balance due to lack of flexibility, ran too much like a plant.

    Advice to Management

Different departments (prepress, creative, press, warehouse, account service) should be able to have their own culture and policies for a better working environment. Flexibility with start and stop time would be extremely beneficial, especially for employees with long commutes.

    Pros

Great People throughout the entire company that really care about their co-workers and customers.
    Good pay, good benefits.
    Very good business model.

    Cons

Antiquated systems make it difficult to work efficiently
Leadership is not always on the same page.
A lot of change without really communicating the desired end result and direction for the company.

    Advice to Management

Invest in the systems needed to give your employees a better experience.
Find ways to connect with employees and make sure they are heard.

    Pros

Good Pay, compared to other similar industries. Small company with good roots. Madden had problems in the past with not changing and keeping up with innovation. I think that upper management is finally paying attention to the needs of their employees. They have implemented a program for employee recognition and "perks" and are taking a closer look at how to keep morale up and enable managers to develop and be a support system for their employees.

    Cons

Still in a transitional phase, so patience is needed while these promised improvements take flight. It seems that no matter how much Madden's business prospers or how successfully they meet or exceeds their earning targets, none of that goes back to the employees who made it happen. It fosters a feeling of disappointment and distrust amongst employees. The feeling is that the money that is produced by Madden's teams is shared amongst the executive management only. Some may not care about this as long as they are earning their paycheck, but most do care.

    Advice to Management

Share the wealth when it's there. Keep up efforts to better communicate to employees.

    Pros

Good people. Always wanted to do the right thing by their clients.

    Cons

Couldn't sell the business model. Limited and shrinking client base made it tough to grow internally.

    Advice to Management

Take on some individual projects for clients to build a relationship.

Management lacks communicational skills, and fails to recognize the HARDER working employees.

    Pros

Great learning experience! Decent Pay. Good teamwork when employees are all on the same page. Dedicated Co-Workers.

    Cons

Management's Ignorance to Employee's Concerns. Welcomes Open Door Policy, but BEWARE!!! Termination to Follow-If You Are Not a "Pet". Employees Going Over and Beyond Duties is Not Recognized, but Management Won't Mind Taking Full Credit When Praised By Clients. OverTime, if hourly, is frowned upon. BUT Expected From Those Individuals That Have Gone Above and Beyond..Make Sense? I'm Still Confused.

    Advice to Management

There is A LOT of BIAS between management and employees. SOMEONE needs to figure out Who and What is Causing Madden to Lose the Workers Who KNOW What Their Doing Instead of Hiring 2-3 Temps to Replace, and Do A Job That ONE Person Did! If They Don't Stabilize Their Situation Now- In Every Department of ALL of Their Facilities, Their Foundation Will Crumble Before They Even a Get a Chance To Grow In Their New Plans. HR, or Better Yet, Sean Madden and His Company Needs to Monitor and Filter Out The Poor Managers Instead Of "Those" Managers Micro-Managing Who They Don't Like....This is NOT Junior High!

    Pros

Pay is good, the people are nice. Learning the systems and how things work. Getting great info/knowledge

    Cons

Growth is limited. It'd basically their way or no way at all. Compared to other places I've worked. It is tense, "they're watching you" literally.

    Advice to Management

    Loosen up a bit.

    Pros

Good pay, strongly run at the corporate level but the individual offices are not run with employees in mind. Spent more than 5 years at the company and the moral in the building fluctuated based on the treatment by management.

    Cons

Management does not listen to employees feelings nor do they understand how to determine the strengths of their employees and put them in the best position to succeed.

    Advice to Management

Put your employees in better position to succeed.
