    Pros

The hours are very flexible. If you work hard during the time you are at the office, it becomes increasingly acceptable to work from home more often.

    Cons

The systems in place are frustratingly inefficient. The management also tries to micromanage new hires a little too much, even when there is a lot of down time at the end of every month.

    Pros

My location was at the beach so you really can't beat that. Made some great contacts for the future.

    Cons

60+ hour work week for no good reason (and they wanted more), unprofessional, no real guidance, trapped in their own bubble and trying to run this particular location the way their retail locations were run...which was not practical. So many divorces and affairs. Have never experienced anything like it.

    Advice to Management

Be a little more professional (attitude, language and actions). Know that you will burn out your staff if you don't allow them a normal amount of time away from work.

    Pros

Madison Marquette is a great place to work for right after public accounting. They will train you to know how to know the ins and outs of general ledger accounting.

    Cons

Accountants at Madison Marquette can become overworked if there are layoffs/people leaving. But when retention is at 100%, the work load is very reasonable. Even at below 100% retention, this is still much better than the hours at the Big Four.

    Advice to Management

Reward and compensate your employees better please.
