I worked at Magna Donnelly full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The training is really good and they show you how to work with different types of machines. Also most of the people that work there help each other in order to achieve the daily goal.

    Cons

Sometimes we worked so many hours because the company was behind on a certain product. We rarely got days off and even if we worked hard we still had to work weekends.

    I worked at Magna Donnelly

    Pros

Not alot of opportunity for advancement, unless you are well connected at the top in Canada.

    Cons

Performance reviews are late, and always on the negative side. Too much negative influence from Canada, and dismissal of good Donnelly employees for bottom line driven corporate people. Open door policy from top management does not exist.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Follow your company policies. You talk them, but you don't walk them.

    I worked at Magna Donnelly

    Pros

Opportunity to work without constant supervision, if you perform well you can go to the top

    Cons

Aggressive cost cutting can affect staff without notice

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep some of the experts – don’t just cut out the high pay positions to save money. The inexperienced are cheaper but there is a reason for that, they don’t know as much.
