I worked at Magneti Marelli full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The following kept me around: salary, title, successful company.

    Cons

Not a lot of cons: upper level micromanagers

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Language barrier sometimes hindered communication; let the directors and plant managers do their job without micromanaging their actions and decisions.

I have been working at Magneti Marelli full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Real sense of teamwork when it's "crunch time." Real sense of family in some departments. New issues are always popping up, it keeps the work fresh and interesting.

    Cons

Feels like management is rather shortsighted. Poor life/work balance. Poor communication throughout leads to wasted time and efforts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Poor communication within and with all departments leads to lots of downtime and wasted efforts.

I have been working at Magneti Marelli full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Work hours are lax and work force is diverse.

    Cons

No leadership. The culture promotes liars and politicians. Your performance does not matter. HR is weak. They should call themselves party planners. With the diverse work force, it seems only white males have the executive suites. The strong sense of Mexico vs. US. and Italy vs. US. Very confusing organization structures with the very complex process diagrams that only covers partial timing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please evaluate people based on their performance more and be clear about what types of organization you want the company to be. Please enforce your policy and not use as a cover.

I worked at Magneti Marelli full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

They are very relax about the time-off policies.

    Cons

There is no promotion possibilities if you are not connected with Italian Upper Management. There is no female manager/executives. They don't give out much of merit increases. There is no personal growth. There is no such thing as a training budget in the company. There is a strong sense of Mexico versus US. Extremely reactive company. The culture can be best described as Washing DC, a dysfunctional place where your performance do not account.
