    Pros

    Good work environment Great management Gained a lot of knowledge Learn great customer service and how to deal with tough situations

    Cons

    Work life balance is hard due to longer hours, not much area for growth within the company. Micromanaging is big and can get annoying

    Pros

    Discounts and pay is about it. Installer is great he is the only one now.....

    Cons

    Managnent sucks and lies about everything,system designer's get treated bad while one person gets away with anything (jumping in peoples sells,puts up a fake pipeline monthly with managers knowing,Judging people based on looks ,cussing people out on sales floor sales manager throws away write up) sales manager always trys to put unnecessary stuff to client's order to boost sales because no one wants to work anymore and just take draw .

    Pros

    Awesome discounts for product, fun industry to work in.

    Cons

    Excessive micro-management, poor IT support, consistently changing pay structure, always on call 24 hours, difficult to hit sales goals, push to do outbound sales with no extra incentive, poor quality training to the point where top writers tell you to ignore training and imitate them to succeed.

    Advice to Management

    Stop trying to push performance standards and micro manage, instead utilize your top talent to create a custom training track for the unique niche that magnolia plays in the business. Stop treating magnolia as another version of best buy. Performance is a result of quality training and development honoring the unique rule of the organization. realize that custom integration and retail are very different and trying to make someone excel in both fields at the same time is not effective.

    Pros

    A chance to work with some very high end audio and video equipment and the ability to learn some awesome things.

    Cons

    Dealing with sales people who work on commission selling things customers dont need. Project managers who are direct supervisors but never seem to be in the field.

    Have to hustle the best buy sales floor sometime doing things that will not go toward your pay. Culture and value will depend on location.

    Great workplace good environment pay great job.

    Cons

    Long hours lots of overtime when busy. Lack of assistance occassionally. Traffic

    The pay is great but benefits are better

    Pros

    Overall I enjoyed working there. Solid focus on training of brands and products sold. Employee Discount is great. Great business plan until the most recent restructure. Salary is great for the industry and combined with the benefits it would be hard to beat.

    Cons

    work-life balance is poor. New restructure takes away the personalized service and ability to provide 100% Customer satisfaction. Micro-Management is a huge problem under new structure.

    Advice to Management

    Realign to previous structure. Remember that the employees and customers are what makes the business.

    Pros

    Pay and benefits and rewards programs from vendors.

    Cons

    Bestbuy management controls you, you work on draw and they force you to sell bestbuy products you don't get paid on. No support and no work life balance. Installers suck and management does not promote the best rather their friends so the brand is lost.

    Advice to Management

    Get out of best buy and rebrand Magnolia as stand alone.
