    Pros

Seeing my clients come pick up ther cake and when i lift the lid, there eyes widen and they are short of breath because I have created something so much more then what was expected. These are the greatest joys of customer service.

    Cons

-There really are no cons, but instead I would call them learning lessons. -Growth opportunities

    Advice to Management

I started March 2014- began as a counter staff then moved to CSR July of 2014

    Pros

Pay is above minimum wage. Free treats every shift and unlimited coffee. Great employee discount. Great way to build barista experience. Pays weekly.

    Cons

Next to impossible to make full-time. Customers tend to be more rude than not. Supervisors tend to be hands off most of the time, even when understaffed and ridiculously busy. Lots of panhandlers and con-artists who try to take advantage of very customer friendly policies. Very long hours. "Warm body policy." No options for benefits for staff.

    Advice to Management

While it's all well and good to take care of your customers, it's also important to take care of your staff. Also, make sure everyone is on the same page about certain policies.

    Pros

Fun working environment, very friendly staff and SOME friendly managers. Always get good hours and very flexible scheduling.

    Cons

Some managers, although friendly, don't do their jobs correctly. Running around on your feet a lot and wavy lifting.

    Advice to Management

Should recognize staff for their achievements more often.

    Pros

Enjoyable if you like putting together and decorating cakes.

    Cons

Bad hours, bad pay for the long work hours constantly on feet. 30 min is not enough and work load exceeds 8 hour shift.

    Advice to Management

Make appropriate lists that are actually possible to do in the amount of time given.

  6. It is fast paced, a lot of fun, and I am always meeting and talking to exciting new people from all over the world

    Pros

Great co-workers and experience in the bakery world.

    Cons

Customers were absolutely horrible, New manager was making up their own rules, completely disrespectful towards employees, pay wasn't great for the amount of stuff done there.

    Advice to Management

Try listening to your employees who have been there for awhile. Don't hire someone to be Manager who hasn't been there more than the ones who have.

Co-workers were great. It would get really busy so time would go by fast.

    Cons

Management suuucks. Unless they like you, then they're great.

    Advice to Management

Try to stop with so much favoritism and actually look at how people work.

    Pros

They teach you hands on when you become a cake decorator they show how the magnolia style is it all depends on who youre learning from. You have your own space to work.

    Cons

CHEAP with hours and will slave you through the holidays.

    Advice to Management

Stop keeping favorites. Keep the people who work hard and enjoy what they do.

    Pros

For a beginner in the baking field, it's a good starter job. The staff was nice, consisting mostly of younger college students minus the manager.

    Cons

Pay was on the low side, considering the heavy workload. Not much room for personal advancement.

    Advice to Management

Benefits should be extended to all workers, not only upper management, considering the majority of production and sales are handled by the staff in the bakeries.
