I worked at Magyar Telekom part-time for less than a year

    Pros

It was my first workplace after university, and it taught me a lot about company culture and teamwork. I really liked that people appreciate you and give you feedback about your work, so to sum it up: I managed to learn many things, and improved in lots of areas, while working in an incentive environment.

    Cons

I worked in a stagnating department, where it was very hard to improve figures. At first I thought I would be able to bring new ideas into the department, but we could not use most them because of strict legislation in the industry.

I worked at Magyar Telekom as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

Big international company with great opportunities. There are so many sections to choose from it's easy to start your career at the Telekom.

    Cons

Too big and you have to be pushing too much to get a promotion. The salaries are OK, but if you want to big you either need good connections in the company itself or should search for another one.

I worked at Magyar Telekom as an intern for more than a year

    Pros

The name of the company in your CV looks great

    Cons

The salary is a joke and the different teams don't think that you are part of them. The company uses the trainees to spare money on full time employees...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Higher salary and 30-40 hrs work option

I worked at Magyar Telekom full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Decent salary, great perks, lots to learn in central functions, room to grow and plenty of resources and opportunities to make things happen (if you're into it).
Depending on the branch and function you can also get some valuable international experience as well via Deutsche Telekom.

    Cons

Huge legacy systems, overly complicated & slow bureaucracy, committee decisions, siloes & infighting.
Comfort and complacency are prevalent; with huge external pressure on the business there is a lot of effort going into shaking up things internally, which causes anxiety in all tiers of management. This leads to bad decisions, mixed messages, hurried execution.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Refresh key functions with fresh talent or face obsolescence.

I worked at Magyar Telekom full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Nice working place and salary is reasonable. Benefits are really good (ie. company spa resort facility almost for free). Most of the collegues are friendly and helpful, ideal for a new grad to start a career here. Also, there is good internship program.

    Cons

Lots of politics involved in decision making (I guess same as everywhere else).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have the ball to actually say what is happening to the company/projects and don't sugarcoat it and make it sound like everything is great.

I worked at Magyar Telekom full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Large company with rules so one always knows what is expected of them
Possibility to work in larger teams
    Plenty of opporutnities for everyone

    Cons

Constant changes - company was restructured every two years
To much office politics, took a lot of time away from real work
The changes brind a lot of uncertainty, managers never knew what would and what would not work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think less about the structure of the company and let employees work/excel more ...
