    Pros

A significant talent drought leads to opportunities for even the most mediocre talents.

    Cons

Very little and very unstable existing business. Management mantra seems to be self-belief will deliver results - this faith based vision is more apt for the 80s, not the modern business environment. Terrible investment decisions in inorganic plays.

    Advice to Management

Lose US management and invest in truly entrepreneurial business leaders.

    Cons

Brand value of TechM in public Loss of key Satyam leaders

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Pros – Opportunity to take on new positions (only for Indians) If an employee (is an Indian) and project ends, they can be picked up by another account without being fired

    Cons

Cons – Management doesn't communicate well - huge veil of secrecy between India and US Some unethical practices - particularly use of sleezy outsourced recruiters that will promise you anything and tell you anything to get you to sign on Employee gets 'dropped' into positions without any mentoring or training Peers and management favor others with Indian heritage and believe they're smarter than other cultures - baboons in suits Management makes a lot of unrealistic promises to customers then expects front-line employees to figure it out on their own Indian management throws other employees under bus to make themselves look good Not a lot of teaming or collaboration to meet common goals - employees try to take credit for others contributions while going to great lengths to fingure out how to do as little as possible Onsite employees outside of India are completely disconnected from the company - which is mainly in India Training and events all held on IST timezone - no attempt to support other countries or timezones

    Advice to Management

Advice to Senior Management – If your serious about breaking into the US market then you need to ensure Indian employees who are customer facing in the US adapt their business practices to be consistent with American practices. Also need to treat employees that are non-Indian the same as Indian employees - at very least don't appear so blatantly racist.

    Pros

flexible timings, associate friendly, good environment

    Cons

regional influence, disparity in wages, discremination to h1 and l1 holders compared to local recruit

    Advice to Management

Sales team need go gear up as lot of opportunities are lost due to less competant sales team, at the same time there's a scarcity of good technical resources, only a few good ones run the show rest all just enjoys and gets same salary.

Good delivery capability. Family like organizational setup where seniors are`very helpful. Lot of opportunities available in various fields and various verticals

    Cons

Not very strong on management consulting and large transformational projects. primary a price point player despite better delivery capability than most management cosnulting firms

    Advice to Management

Beef up the management consulting component and seek out transformational projects even if some investment needs to be made in the initial stages

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

    a) Peers are good, don't expect a lot of goodness from senior management. b) Some level of transparency still exists. A lot of transparency existed in old Satyam. c) Very good Skilled & Intelligent employees around you, therefore there is opportunity to learn a lot of things. d) Learning Center in Satyam is very good and you get to learn a lot of free things, which you wont get to learn in any organization.

    Cons

    a) Management (one level above you and all higher levels) don't care about you at all. What you are doing, whether you are satisfied, dissatisfied, your concerns etc. b) Apraisals is not satisfactory to some extent. c) You have to really be stricter and smarter and clever to get your dues and what you want from the higher ups.

    Advice to Management

Try to proactively get yourself more involved with the juniors rather than having them leave. Remember your job is to take care of both employees and the client......I think you have forgotten the employees totally. Get your act together before a lot of good skilled labor gets away.
