In one sentence, my experience at Maidenform was a waste of time.

Marketing Coordinator (Current Employee) Iselin, NJ

ProsCasual environment, pretty good benefits (didn't have to pay too much), easy commute living in NJ, relatively good morale, but not great.

ConsNo real communication from management or CEO. Very high turnover. Many people were significantly mistreated by a coworker and nothing was done about it. No feedback on performance.

People are wonderful to work with but upper management was out of touch.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Iselin, NJ

ProsGood staff to work with and learning experience, as departments are small and you need to take on large volumes of work.

ConsLack of upper managment direction. Not a good work-life balance.

One of the best work experiences I've ever had. Grew and learned a lot!

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Iselin, NJ

ProsIt was a very friendly atmosphere with great people. Compared to other places I've worked, the PTO time was generous. Lots of perks and overall great benefits - HR was supportive and easy to talk to. Town Hall meetings had some fun elements to them. It really felt like one big family.

ConsBought out by Hanes with massive layoffs. Senior supervisor was socially awkward and hypocritical.

Great opportunity to advance in my profession

PD Coordinator (Current Employee) Iselin, NJ

ProsI had great support and encouragement from supervisors, the atmosphere was always pleasant and fun. My co-workers were courteous and friendly.

ConsOnly sad thing is that the company was bought by another lead company and growth in the company was no longer possible.

Advice to Senior ManagementCommunication could improve for upper managment.

    Stone Age Management Mentality

    Administrative Assistant (Former Employee)

ProsA few of the departments still had some nice people left there.

ConsNo advancement. Some managers treat staff with no respect. Expected to do everything for practically no compensation. Some of the upper level management has a very poor view of those who actually do the work. I once witnessed the female marketing executive telling another executive to send one of their "Low-lives" (Yes, that's the EXACT word she used) to fetch her paperwork from their department, referring to the other Exec's assistant. And she was perfectly serious. That's how the real workers are looked down upon.

Advice to Senior ManagementBring the company into the 21st century sometime soon or you'll be out of business. Respect everyone. Fire your entire Marketing and Human Resources Department because HR is no help.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
