I worked at Mainstream Advertising full-time for less than a year

    Pros

It was a short experience, I don't recommend it to anyone. The sales reps were friendly folks and worked hard. Unfortunately the technical team members were not so friendly with each other. Am glad I don't work there anymore.

    Cons

They were spammers and tried to hide it through different company names. No Quality Control processes at all resulted in releasing buggy software. The whole network was on the verge of collapse all the time. Did not appreciate the adult side of the business which was also hidden.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Spend some money on infrastructure.

    I worked at Mainstream Advertising

    Pros

Higher pay compared to other jobs in this industry. Perks include 100% paid health/dental/vision, free LA Fitness membership, fully stocked break room, flexible schedule.

    Cons

They have questionable business practices, including sending spam, reselling bot/bulk traffic to advertisers which makes it hard to look at yourself in the mirror each day. The owner of the company is fickle, and will change direction on a project hours before launch.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a competent project manager to sit between upper management and developers. Get a standard QA and deployment process in place to avoid breaking production sites when features are added at the last minute.
