I have been working at Mallory Alexander International Logistics full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Small company, allows the owners and high ranking officials to get to know you personally, face to face.
very flexible in regards to schedules.
Cons – no standard SOP's for general practices, makes it difficult to terminate an associate.
not many opportunities for career advancement, as the turn-over is very low.
Advice to Senior Management – acknowledge your star performers.

I have been working at Mallory Alexander International Logistics full-time for more than a year
Pros – The people at Mallory are very friendly and outgoing. I is easy to make an impact with new ideas or sales opportunities. Cross functional improvement and experience are readily accessible there. Decentralized management make all departments readily available.
Cons – The decision makers have a tendency to get mired down in politics. This can mean that it is difficult to know which way to focus your energy in the long term. Also they seem to have trouble executing operationally. Exceptional performance may not be readily recognized and rewarded.
Advice to Senior Management – Take time to develop a succession plan and identify high performing employees.

I have been working at Mallory Alexander International Logistics
Pros – They have a set schedule yet will make exceptions for life events (dentist, Dr., etc...). The set schedule makes it nice.... You learn a lot quick. You get industry knowledge quick. No micromanagement. Pay is ok but not great.
Cons – Managers take no responsibility, do not offer training - you are primarily trained by your co-workers who were trained by their co-workers. Essentially they say Welcome and bam your in it..... Not bad for me since I learn fast. Stressful. No equity in how much each person has to do. Managers tend to not listen to ideas. Managers put THEIR work off on you. Senior/Corporate Management issue mandates without thought or real analysis. IT is horrible - expect to get no help their.
Advice to Senior Management – Oversight on management. Management can become very lazy and do as they please because of no real corporate governance. TRAINING! Training materials and methods are seriously outdated. Communication. No one ever is responsible nor will they help. Invest in the tools that the employees need to do their job. Management should work a week in other departments - so as to see the workload, equity, etc. Request more feedback from employees and allow for employees ideas to count for something.
