    Pros

The people here are great to work with. A very "like family" environment because of the small size. Free classes to employees. Incentive pay for graduates.

    Cons

Low pay compared to surrounding hospitals, the "like family" environment placed some staff into groups. Management unfair, showing favorites to certain people.

  2. Not much opportunity for advancement. Poor leadership and management practices. Very unfair to employees.

    Pros

The pay was above the industry standard for that region. Very flexible schedules (per diem) and great shift differenentials.

    Cons

Small hospital. Cranky nurses, mostly unfriendly doctors. Horrible cafeteria. Staff is weird

    Advice to Management

Act professionally, delegate tasks in a logical manner, ensure new employees feel welcomed at their new place of employment.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Manchester Memorial Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Local, small hospital. You'll probably know the patients personally.

    Cons

Has as its leadership team, a C-Suite and directors who have a duplicitous interpersonal style associated with cynical beliefs and pragmatic morality, driven by cold selfishness and pure instrumentality. If you want to operate in a 15th century feudal style corporation, where kings and lords favor courtesans willing to abide to her/his dubious directives, mainly to pursue personal motives, then this is the perfect place for you.

    Advice to Management

Reflect on your current state of operations which gives high priority to money, power, and competition and relatively low priority to community building, self-love, and family concerns. Then pursue changes to your operating style that make you uncomfortable.
