I have been working at Mango part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

There are uniforms provided for you so you don't have to think about what to wear.
    The pay is decent.

    Cons

Long hours without a lot of breaks. There's definitely favoritism when you enter the work environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They need to train better and be respectful to all their employees. Being a manager requires you to treat everyone as if they belong and some of them lack this.

    I worked at Mango part-time

    Pros

Met some great people from the team. Decent pay with SALES COMMISION, albeit forgot how much percentage. But depending on your sales, you can make an extra paycheck or even more. Uniforms given (actual upcoming products from the new collection) for free so I didn't have to worry about what to wear. Also a set weekly schedule so you know your hours. and what days. No on-call shifts.

    Cons

Can be too competitive, which ends up leading to a lack of teamwork. Couple of my coworkers had very bad attitudes due to this competitive nature.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Provide more advancement opportunities.

I worked at Mango full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    - You are in direct contact with fashion trends.
    - Cool office to work at.
    - Some people are very professional and great co-workers. Sad truth is that the majority aren't.

    Cons

    - No real chance of getting promoted. Ever. Unless you "know" somebody in the high up.
    - There are lots of people that have been in the company for years and years and that have not evolved, updated, trained or open their minds.
    - Severe lack of english speakers in the headquarters even though they take praise of being an international and cool fashion company.
    - Low salaries with inexistent raises (I worked there for more than 5 years).
    - Due to shortage of people, everyone in the teams ends up having to do twice as much work as they should.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promote and truly appreciate the valuable, professional people you have in the company by raising salaries and giving them the public recognition they deserve. I have seen SO many good professionals walk out of the company tired, angry, disappointed and with the feeling they have been tricked into this trap.

Get rid of the burden-people you have in so many departments and let the fresh blood renew, improve, make shine your brand.

Mango used to be as appealing as Zara, if not better in terms of quality and elegance. Those days are long gone...
