I worked at Manhattan Associates full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    some initial learning.
some bias in management though no politics.

    Cons

    zero work life balance.
utilization( of resources - they never call people as people )it is the single most most important thing whether they produce is not.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

cant help it; none of decisions are governed by India management. though they can at least treat employees as human beings.

    Pros

the compensation was good for a college student, comparable to what other similar programs offer, it was a great opportunity to build communication and profession presentation skills, also one of the few co-ops with dirrect client interaction

    Cons

sometimes the work exceeded a typical 40 hour work week

I have been working at Manhattan Associates as an intern for more than a year

    Pros

    - Introduces interns to life after college
    - Treated as a full-time consultant with actual roles and responsibilities

    Cons

    - Work can be tedious at times
    - Resources and documentation can be very dry

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I enjoyed having done the co-op program. Only thing I would recommend is for co-ops to be placed in larger (5+ consultant) teams so there are more people to ask questions to.

I worked at Manhattan Associates full-time

    Pros

Good for learning supply chain knowledge and technology

    Cons

Horrible managers (director, sr. director, etc.) remove people they do not like for fun.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Think twice who is lying: manager or employee OR what is really good to company for the sake of company's best interest in long term or even short term. Think twice: who is the real high performer.

Former Employee - Technical Co-Op  in  Atlanta, GA
Former Employee - Technical Co-Op in Atlanta, GA

I worked at Manhattan Associates as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

The only pro is that you get hands on experience.

    Cons

As a technical co-op, I was assigned to a manager who did not have the time to give me assignments, let alone point me towards resources. The few times I was given a contact or a resource, they had unrealistic expectations of my abilities, given that there was no training or structure to the technical co-op program. I was expected to have intimate knowledge of how backend systems worked, but I had no exposure, no access, and no training/knowledge.

Because of the nature of the business, documentation most likely doesn't exist, or is haphazardly cobbled together by random employees and difficult to find.

At the time, all of the co-ops were assigned to sit in a meeting room together, the majority of whom all work on different teams. This isolated the co-ops and made it difficult to network with other Manahattan Associates employees, or make contacts that could help co-ops learn and grow.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Integrate co-ops into the employee force. By separating them, you prevent them from seeking out knowledge from experts in the company and from learning what the real culture of the company is like.

Provide a standardized training session for technical co-ops on the layout of the systems they work on, such as WMS or others, so they can learn which tools Manhattan uses and familiarize themselves with these when they are not given assignments.

I have been working at Manhattan Associates full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    It has good products.
It is good for settling down.

    Cons

Some managers/seniors talk like slum people. Don't have any shame. Even if we show we are ignoring them, make indirect comment, don't get it in their head. We can ignore these behavior. But daily seeing it feels like we have come to slum.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

These slum mentality people stay longer in a company. Teach these people some basic behavior etiquette so that they don't spoil company name.
