    Pros

Good benefits. Competitive wages for the area (Manitowoc WI). Training focused with internal paid for and tuition reimbursement.

    Cons

Systems, systems and more systems. How many software systems can a company use? Not enough people from what I hear now extra stress and work load on everybody. No room for advancing your career.

    Advice to Management

Fulfill those requests for more people. Listen to the dealers they know what the problems are. Then fix them especially on GMK models that is a mess. More integrity needed with suppliers.

    Pros

Good upper level management that is interested in their employees. Pays for training and helps employees with college.

    Cons

Layoffs are common and job security can be shaky especially as a contractor. Employees at the assembly and manufacturing level feel neglected by management with regard to compensation and they feel disposable.

    Advice to Management

Invest in making work for employees during low sales times instead of laying off large portions of the company.

    Pros

Good environment and colleagues, flexible timings, great management, boss is more of a "leader" than a manager, definitely someone you can look up to and learn alot from

    Cons

Pay could be better compared to other companies in the region

    Pros

Top pay is decent compared similar careers in the area. A pay matrix determines your value to the company so pay increases for under-achieving employees is guaranteed. The union representatives will do everything within their power to help you keep your job, even if you don't deserve it.

    Cons

Supervisors take credit for the good ideas of the production employees. Any suggestions are "taken into consideration", ignored for 2 or 3 months, then magically appear when management just happens to stumble upon the novel idea you gave them earlier. Of course, they conveniently don't remember you ever mentioning it.

    Advice to Management

Give credit where credit is due and give positive feedback to quality employees.

    Pros

Global company with many local opportunities. Leading products in a competitive industry. Large ticket items with high quality provides great sense of satisfaction.

    Cons

The global business requires many times to have virtual teams and meetings at odd hours when not working in the US or Europe. Constant pressure from competitors drives the business. Generally a cyclical business that is not everyones cup of tea.

    Advice to Management

Continue on with the focus in the emerging markets with high quality products at reasonable pricings, and with support that will win over the customers it the long run.

    Pros

Other employees willing to help a new hire get his/her feet on the ground.

    Cons

Be wary of internal, personal agendas that stand in the way of success.

    Advice to Management

True business agenda differs from the agenda espoused to employees. Goals for employees are blocked by the goals of this hidden agenda.

    Pros

    Cons

Management is poor, and communication is bad.

    Advice to Management

Start holding mid level managers accountable for errors in processing, engineering, purchasing, etc.
