    Pros

Above average salary, ok benefits, stock plan, business casual, clean safe work environment

    Cons

Multiple layoffs, site closure in NJ, people who got the product approved had the rug taken out from under their feet before being allowed to share in success, passive aggressive management, some execs running amok, indifferent HR department, a very influencial "in crowd" that makes key decisions and shoves them down everyone's throat

    Advice to Management

Live the values you claim to uphold

I worked at MannKind full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great co-workers, some management open to the needs of the staff, some not. Very generous salaries. Business casual dress. Safe office environment.

    Cons

Not an open door policy with executives! Most concentrating on their own goals and objectives and not those of subordinates. Everyone has to figure out on their own what has to be accomplished.

    Advice to Management

Management should be more involved in staff meeting objectives. When yearly reviews run below standards, there should be more specific training classes created and offered.

    I worked at MannKind full-time

    Pros

Good salary and flexibility. Ability to have a lot of input into processes.

    Cons

Management does not put the right people in place to make the company successful. They do not communicate openly with employees leading to a lot of rumors and speculation. Upper management does not respect or value their employees but only take care of themselves. There is a history and constant fear of layoffs. Processes are not well developed. Very poor management and morale.

    Pros

They were open to new ideas and processes

    Cons

    They laid off 4 times

    Advice to Management

They should have thought more like a cro for revenue while afrezza was being developed

I worked at MannKind full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Many talented, hard working people. Interesting product. Tremendous CEO.

    Cons

Poor leadership, mismanagement. People who worked incredibly hard and were very dedicated to the company were fired, while people who were not invested in the company were promoted. It seemed like the management team really wanted the staff to not be looking too closely at what was going on.

I worked at MannKind full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Working at MannKind provided an opportunity to collaborate on projects at a high level with some of the most talented and dedicated people I have ever met. The relationships among coworkers were unusually strong and supportive. Taking initiative was encouraged, recognized and rewarded. Compensation and benefits were better than most start-up companies. The flexible work hours significantly increased my productivity. The Company's lead product (AFREZZA) and its underlying technology (Technosphere) have enormous medical value and market potential.

    Cons

Company-wide communications provided important information and a sense of transparency. We believed that our ideas and recommendations were genuinely valued and taken into serious consideration. However, it seemed as though crucial decisions were made within an executive "bubble" which severely impacted operations and lead to substantial layoffs of highly valuable employees.

    Advice to Management

If it is not too late, try to return to the core principles which made the company a great place to work.

I worked at MannKind full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There are many talented, dedicated people working there. Relationships among coworkers are strong. Compensation and benefits are above many similar companies. The lead product is very innovative and will provide a tremendous positive benefit to many people.

    Cons

There are areas of poor leadership and the atmosphere is at times very stressful. As the future of the company is not known, morale is low among most of the staff.

    Advice to Management

It would be beneficial to have more frequent interactions with all of the staff and to discuss the future possibilities at the company more openly.
