Great place to work, but a bit directionless...

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Mannatech full-time for more than 3 years

ProsThe people at Mannatech were great. Very rarely did I have to work with someone who didn't contribute and treated me with respect.

ConsMulti Level Marketing can be cruel, and Mannatech is still reeling from some very poor decisions made a long time ago.

Advice to Senior ManagementFocus on solid growth, not big shallow gains.

ProsGreat people; casual dress; not much else going for this company at all.

ConsNo work life balance; lay-offs happening periodically due to the decline of the company; no pay raises or promotions ever; due to lay-offs people are taking on more work which leads to a decline in work life balance.

Senior Designer/Acting Creative Director (Former Employee)
Coppell, TX

I worked at Mannatech full-time for more than a year

ProsFounded on great values and faith and weekly bible study was a great option! Seeing and sharing in loyal work ethic was amazing.

ConsThe company went threw A LOT of change all at once. 3 new marketing directors in 2 years - new board and 2 new presidents. Didn't know what surprises might arise each day . . .

Advice to Senior ManagementI do hope Mannatech has found it's "peace and place" - Again it has strong roots and a great starting foundation. It took a beating while I was there and I hope out of the fire came great things!

Stay away - company in crisis

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Mannatech

ProsI have met some wonderful people here.

ConsLeadership promotes themselves and pats themselves on the back while not acknowledging or rewarding the rank and file. There is a great deal of favoritism, particularly towards the Finance area, which has not faced the same cutbacks as other areas. Lots of political strife. Co-CEO/triumvirate leadership is ineffective.

Advice to Senior ManagementIf you really care, spend time talking to and listening to non-exec employees. Have more realistic expectations. Don't reward incompetence.

Nothing to write home about

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
Coppell, TX

I have been working at Mannatech

ProsLots of nice people willing to help! I get to wear jeans every day and my boss doesn't really care what time I get to work. Nobody does, so it's pretty cushy around here. Lots of pressure, but no big deal if things don't get done and they usually don't.

ConsVery weak and inconsistent management. Too many chiefs. Top heavy. Sr Leaders take care of themselves first. Too many people just collecting their paychecks and not really working. Systems are atrocious and we just keep placing band-aids on the problems because never enough time to fix it properly. The business model is a bit shady.

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed to get on the same page. We all know you don't really get along and we see it and feel it. Mexico isn't as rosey as you want us to believe, just ask those of us who are really working on this project. Stop with the preferential treatment to consultants who refuse to work here. If they don't like us, they should leave. Instead, you offer them very good paying jobs, with offices, when those of us who have worked here and are loyal get nothing.
