Pros
Competent, well-trained branch management structure, widely available across all markets. A worldwide firm, able to drive workforce solutions tailored to local customs, work rules, and market pricing.
Cons
Comprised of multiple business units providing different services to clients... so it can be difficult to integrate a particular complex solution offering to a large client.
Advice to Senior Management
No advice, but I believe it's one of the most collaborative and innovative leadership teams I've been associated with.
Pros
satisfaction of getting a job done
Cons
pressure when needed to get workers quickly
Pros
Manpower's nationwide presence make relocating an appealing option if you are looking to move some distance. They are very well known and regarded as a placement agencies and can get you into companies that do not hire directly or post jobs openings publicly.
Cons
The search options are very specific. If you are trying to find where your existing experience and skills can get you in a new industry, it can be difficult to pin point an exact job title or description for relevant search results.
Advice to Senior Management
Career paths and relevant job skills are no longer linear. Recruitment and hiring practices need to adapt to the job market and the available talent. Some adjustments to the job search parameters could identify useful talent aside from how previous experience directly relates to desired position.
Pros
decent wage and i got along with my manager.
Cons
no room for growth or climb the ladder.
Advice to Senior Management
hopefully the company does wel but i wouldn't highly recommend working there.
Pros
Absolutely enjoy my position and have an awesome Manager. Manpower is open to innovation and rewards "out of the box" thinking.
Cons
Other than working in RPO which basically means you often work yourself out of a job (recruiting in general) no complaints.
Pros
If you work hard and show initiative, the company rewards you with many career growth options. the work is challenging, and the people at the company on the whole really care about its success. senior leadership is constantly looking at ways to improve the go to market position, and really places an emphasis
Cons
like any large company, it has challenges with politics, the pace of change and clarity on strategic direction. you have to want to work in a complex enviroment and take the personal responsibility of understanding how all of the pieces and players work together to be successful. also, the "how" things are done is very important and the company has a very clear culture that is unique for such a big company.
Advice to Senior Management
keep up the focus on being a world-class thought leader; it gives us a reason to come into work every day. make a bigger deal out of the everyday successes we provide to people in their lives. i think our field organization is making a huge impact in the daily lives of our associates. we should celebrate and publicize!
Pros
I got a taste of the local employment market and made great connections. It really helped me focus in on what i wanted long-term and build my resume.
Cons
You're competing with a ton of applicants. Recruiters tend to work with associates they know have used before, and trust.
Pros
Employee benefits are great, HQ facilities are great, and people are treated fairly. Opportunities for process improvement abound.
Cons
Executive leadership needs to take more sponsorship of the direction of technology and its value to the business. They do not recognize areas of inefficiencies. Change happens at too slow a pace.
Advice to Senior Management
Embrace the technology more. Provide direction and full sponsorship to help gain adoption. Make some decisions around technology that make sense for the business.
Pros
They provide the team with the resources required to be successful.
Offer a wide vareity of solutions and can meet any client needs.
Cons
Too big, everything comes from corporate.
Pros
The reason I choose to work at Manpower was due to the flexibility and salary that I was able to have.
Cons
I always had to keep in contact over the phone, and it was a long drive to its headquarters when I needed to talk with someone in person.
