    Pros

Lots of opportunity to learn new skills. Great people to work with and network with.

    Cons

Too much restructuring and not enough time to give course to visions created during last restructuring as new management usually changes course.

    Pros

Challenging work, lots of work/ life balance, exciting times at Manulife.

    Cons

Recent org design changes have led to some lack of resources and poor clarity of roles. This is expected given the changes the company is undergoing as they integrate the business of Standard Life into the Manulife organization.

    Advice to Management

Maintain focus on communicating change... This is already a priority.

    Pros

    - Forward-thinking leadership - Workplace flexibility program (work from home or remotely) - Newly remodelled offices (bloor campus) with sitting/standing desks and onsite gym.

    Cons

    - business processes tend to be very complicated and slow to maneuver - Still using many legacy systems; not cutting edge technology

    Pros

The day-to-day challenges strengthen problem solving skills, and resilience to become a superior underwriter. Progressively build stronger relationships with Regional Sales Office and Account Executives to successfully sell existing business benefit plans to Clients.

    Pros

Pay is decent and on par with this type of institution. Being a large firm there are lots of potential divisions to work in.

    Cons

You need to manage your own career. Being a large organization things can get very political.

    Advice to Management

Employees could use more perks. Even simple things like a better holiday party can go a long way.
