    Pros

Run an incredibly efficient operation-Calculated risk takers commercially-exceptional development strategy for high potentials and most employees. Strong Safety Culture-If you work hard-are open to learning this is a company where you can have a great career. Tight knit-high performance-high accountability Senior Leadership team who work hard to respect tradition and live their values.

    Cons

Little here of concern. Not all locations are in garden spots but the people/communities are for the most part tight knit.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work and thanks for rewarding us as shareholders!

    Pros

Great salary and benefits! The marketing division has multiple opportunties to move up the ladder and into new positions every 2-3 years. Marathon takes their time hiring quality people which makes for positive work environments.

    Cons

If you don't like relocating it becomes difficult to move up into higher positions. True to Corporate America, there can be separation between new employees and executives.

    Advice to Management

Continue to develop the diversity within the company, both by race and gender. There are multiple learning opportunties provided by the company for diversity, but they might not always extend past a learning session.

Takes care of families. Good corporate system.

    Cons

Canton site has terrible work life balance. Chronically underinvested and understaffed.

    Advice to Management

Stop looking at Solomon numbers, visit the site and determine what's needed.

    Pros

Consistent job. Good if you're a people person. Can get decent hours. They're money hogs like all the other companies, but they still allow a little overtime and some full time employees.

    Cons

Raises are few and far between. You have to sell lottery, which is one of the most annoying things to deal with.

Like the people I work with and a company that cares about my well being.

    Cons

Advancement can be particularly difficult in this position. Things can be ran a bit backwards sometimes with complete disregard for common sense.

    Pros

Houston area, excellent job of running a refinery, excellent emphasis on safety,

    Cons

lacking in Diversity, good ole boy system, job postings symbolic (its about who you know), values are compromised by good old boy system, there is no culture - its like the wild west.

    Advice to Management

Work towards diversity and inclusive if you want to be a ethical and strong company. If you are going to post jobs, don't appoint positions for jobs under a certain level. Keep operating and running an excellent operation, just give others an opportunity. Others as in minorities.

    Pros

Company values its employees and genuinely tries to do the right thing. A place where you can make a life-long career if you choose to, regardless of position. Good upward mobility potential. Great pay and benefits.

    Cons

The geographic locations aren't as appealing as they are with some other companies, but you don't have to stay in one place forever if you choose not to.

    Advice to Management

Be willing to be a little more flexible with newer benefits employees want to see. We have to stay current to compete for top talent.
