    Pros

Free movies and fun atmosphere. Extremely flexible schedule for students or people with other jobs. Very fitting of a college student.

    Cons

Corporate doesn't seem to be in touch with the realities of a theater on a daily basis. Payroll is incredibly low and renovations to locations are only now being planned. Corporate no longer wants us to have store meetings because it wastes payroll.

    Advice to Management

CEO is no longer Bruce Olson, he retired. It is now Rolondo Rodriguez and his implementations have been beneficial. Being a former vice president of AMC has helped to adopt some good policies.

    Pros

Free movies, posters, and popcorn. You receive passes for dollar admissions based on how many hours you've worked in a pay period for family and friends. The scheduling is also pretty flexible.

    Cons

The uniforms are embarassing and uncomfortable. Wearing a white shirt around that much oil and and garbage is ridiculous and looks terrible. You can't call out unless you find yourself a replacement first or are in the hospital. There aren't scheduled breaks because it slows down inbetween set times which is really difficult when you're the only one covering a station. The theatre I worked at was also quite sexist seeing as male employees were always given priority with usher training and shifts. Some women weren't trained in to usher for months or years and were only allowed to work concessions where as men would have their first shift as an usher.

    Advice to Management

Change the uniforms to polos like many other successful theatre chains. It looks much more clean and will make your employees happy. Try to schedule breaks for lunch or ask if we need to use the restroom if we've been working alone all day. Please give everyone equal chances to train for positions so sceduling and covering shifts will be easier. Please don't take all of the cashing and ushering shifts as an assistant manager as well. You should be working alongside the concessionists at least once a week so you are sharp on your toes when we need you for back up. It also makes is feel more like a team and like you appreciate us when you're back there.

    Pros

Discounted movies- they are too cheap to let employees in for free

    Cons

    Late hours
    Poor upper management
Squeeze the life out of the employee

    Advice to Management

Employees are humans not robots, treat them as such

    Pros

Great coworkers, extremely flexible hours, and an overall relaxed atmosphere (except when things got extremely busy, of course). Good place for a first job.

    Cons

More frequent raises would have been nice, expecially since the few raises that were awarded got rolled over whenever minimum wage was increased.

    Advice to Management

If someone earns a raise, it should carry over even after minimum wage is increased, otherwise you can end up with new hires earning more than most.

    Pros

You get free movies and popcorn when you go to the movies. You also get dollar passes that you can give to your family so they can be able to go to the movies.

    Cons

There is so much work to do for low wages. The employees aren't really appreciated in their position. This employer has a high turn over rate. So if you want a job they will hire a lot during the year.

    Advice to Management

Once managers reach this position they stop caring. This position basically gives them the ability to do anything they want.

    Pros

    Cons

Management is usually unqualified and chosen based on seniority, not on qualifications.

    Advice to Management

    Pick better assistant managers!
