    Pros

Management has been very consistent which I appreciate. I have been with the company for almost 3 years and hope to stay several more. It's a great place to work because of the people.

    Cons

In that weird stage between private and public where old processes are being changed to fit the new model. Sometimes this can cause some confusion. But having been in another company that went public, this one seems to be coming together pretty well. Change is always a pain, but understandable for those of us that have been down this path before.

    Advice to Management

    Take us public soon!

I have been working at MarkLogic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great technology, smart people and very satisfied customer. People are friendly and extremely helpful

    Cons

Recruiting a little too fast these days. That causes anxiety among employees about the quality being compromised

    Advice to Management

Please don't introduce too much hierarchy in mgmt. Also, vet candidates very well. Don't bring the bar down

    Pros

Exposure to new markets and independence on decision making. A challenging role for sure but trailing and superior support is provided when needed.

    Cons

company is not that popular and there are tons of startups like MarkLogic that are already passing on what they are doing.

I have been working at MarkLogic full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    1. Great Product - Easy to work with the product that has very few issues. 2. Good pay and bonus package, typically above market level. 3. Top-notch Employees. Marklogic consultants are well respected in the field. Company is very picky about hiring and low attrition. 3. Great CEO.

    Cons

    1. Poor 401K match. A percentage match would be nice. 2. Work can be stressful at times, but it usually depends on the client. But, your efforts rarely go unnoticed, which is good.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing.

    Pros

None! That I can think of anyway

    Cons

Worst Mgmt I've ever come across. Make promises at the beginning and do not deliver in the end. No infrastructure to support the business

    Advice to Management

Stop thinking you are IBM and act like a start hiring mgmt that better understands the needs of the business and can develop a culture of success and excitement vs being dragged down by report after report and micro managed

    Pros

    Cons

provides an almost useless 401k match

    Advice to Management

Please provide a better 401k match

    Pros

Fantastic Product. Super smart, creative, fun people. Extremely well-managed, mature start-up. People are happy to be working here, and it's very collaborative. You can make a difference and jump into things you are interested in, and people are genuinely interested in getting the job done, not stuck on "that's not my job." The culture is supportive, fun, and happy. It's very motivating to work somewhere where the product is so awesome, it makes marketing's job so much easier when you don't have to try to put a positive spin on something that isn't worthy. Marketing's toughest job is narrowing down and focusing on just the top items to communicate because there is just so much good stuff.

    Cons

With a smaller company that is growing at a rapid pace comes resource challenges - always more work to do than people, and if you are used to having a large infrastructure and people to do things for you - this isn't the right fit. I wouldn't even qualify that as a con - but some folks don't like to get their hands dirty.

I have been working at MarkLogic full-time

    Pros

    - intelligent employees - always willing to help with a smile - humble - ambitious

    Cons

    - 401K match is weak, but many of the other benefit perks make up for it (unlimited vacation, free training, and lots of other perks within the office)

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing :)
