Pros
Fun place to work at
Cons
real estate industry can go up or down
Pros
potential for earnings is good if you work hard and are consistent.
Cons
high cost of gas, extensive travel
Advice to Senior Management
none
Pros
Very good work environment, lots of support from sales staff and management. Great location not downtown or in a busy city commute is great. Benefits are great as well
Cons
no 401K match, working with real estate agents, saturated market, poor quality of leads, mostly cold calling, Real estate agents mostly are very unprofessional and rude. not B2B sales. Calling "out of the phone book" in a sense
Advice to Senior Management
step up marketing. provide warmer leads. Cold calls are a thing of the past. Wears out executives when you have to make over 110 phone calls everyday.
Pros
Fun and positive company culture. Lots of sales education available, and supervisors always willing to help. I learned a lot about sales.
Cons
The people at the Yakima office (now closed) were paid much less than those in the Kirland office, in terms of both salary and commission. The cost of living was not THAT much different. It was supposed to be a secret, but it slipped out. When we asked about it, we were told that we could leave if we didn't like it, and that it was a good enough wage for Yakima.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop using high-pressure sales tactics. When this is done, potential customers are put off and the company earns a bad reputation.
Pros
Friendly managers, close-knit environment. Selling a real estate software program that allows clients to keep track of their clients and send out personalized emails.
Cons
Lots of trial and error situations where we needed to explain to angry callers why the system was not working properly.
Advice to Senior Management
Hang in there guys--the real estate market is going to come back to where it was and even better very soon!
Pros
The people that work there and helping real estate agents succeed
Cons
Currently in bad real estate market
Advice to Senior Management
update internal tools to help employees be more productive
Pros
Small team environment, not a lot of downside at this point.
Cons
Cyclical business, poor technology infrastructure, tons of turnover, low morale.
Advice to Senior Management
Take the time to realize your core competencies and invest in technology.
Pros
There are (were) some great people I worked with. They were a very talented group of people.
Cons
Management struggled with the business model and there were constant direction changes. I was not a big fan of the business model as it leaned anti-consumer.
In addition, the company could not adapt to the forces in the changing housing market.
Advice to Senior Management
Improve the business model to gain the trust of consumers while still serving your agents needs.
