Current Employee – been working at Marketing Instincts full-time
Pros – I've made a lot of friends here, there's a lot of us in our 20's and we have a good time at work. Things get serious and we work hard, but we also joke around and don't take ourselves too seriously
free breakfast on fridays (we take turns bringing it/making it!)
challenging enviroment where you really get to learn
working with big clients you don't usually find in a place like Temecula
Cons – we're so busy that sometimes its hard to juggle all of the projects and stay on top of them
it's freezing upstairs way too often, like really freezing
Advice to Senior Management – stop blasting the ac

Current Employee – been working at Marketing Instincts full-time for more than a year
Pros – Everyone is outgoing, people get together and go out after work. The opportunity to contribute on high profile projects such as the Pepsi Beyonce campaign. Always challenged for new ideas on a wide variety of clients- from television networks (MTV, WB and the like) to video gaming companies (Blizzard, EA) to Samsung & Sony. Great pay.
Cons – If you sit close to the art dept they make so much noise talking and laughing all day, it is distracting. OK, you can even hear them on the other side of the building. And they are LOUD. Souds like a bunch of drunk people at the bar having a good time. I hate to complain when people are having such a great time, especially at work, but for the rest of us that are concentrating and working harder (sorry artists) it is very distracting.
Advice to Senior Management – You have to ask the art dept to turn down the volume just a little. They can still laugh and joke but it shouldn't disturb everyone else, I'm sure they don't even realize. Coworkers who work on the other side of the building have even commented.

Current Employee – been working at Marketing Instincts full-time for less than a year
Pros – I recently started as a Marketing Project Manager and I am very happy here. I received one on one training for two weeks and continue to receive support as needed. I am working on building a new career for myself and I think this is the perfect company for me.
Cons – I wish we were closer to more lunch spots. We have two refrigerators to store your lunch and snacks. The break room also has a microwave and toaster.
Advice to Senior Management – I would like an ice maker to keep my beverages cold!

Current Employee – been working at Marketing Instincts full-time
Pros – Great opportunity to prove yourself and work up to a management position within the company. I appreciate that we're still small enough (approx 30 people) that senior management can recognize someone who goes above and beyond and takes on additional responsibility. I also enjoy working independently on a project, let someone know if I need help or guidance, and being able to see it through until it moves onto the next department.
Cons – The biggest challenge is keeping up with all the projects and new clients. We just keep growing and growing, clients recommend us to their colleagues and other companies. The company is adding new staff but it takes time for new hires to be up and running and really be able to contribute in a significant way.
Advice to Senior Management – I have recommended cross training for all the positions, this way when we have a peak in the wave of work flow we can move someone over from another department to help get the client what they need in a timely manner. Every project has a deadline and timing is critical.

Pros – This is an extremely talented team, and you know it from day one. If you're motivated you can learn a lot. You have to be proactive to keep up with the pace and meet the project/client deadlines or you'll get left in the dust. There's a very high standard for the work we put out so the clients love us. Its nice that the company encourages and supports outside of work activities for the team- great Halloween party at Yard House!
Cons – The same that thing that is a pro can also be a con if you're a passive personality- you need to be proactive and a contributor or you will be left in the dust. This is a make it happen team, there's no hiding in the corner, not contributing and going unnoticed. But on the other hand, if you're a high performer there's great recognition and compensation.
Advice to Senior Management – Let the under-performers go quicker, this has gotten better but still can be improved upon. Also, because parking close to the building is a challenge try something such as choosing an employee of the month and that person gets a front row spot- I know a lot of us will love that!

Current Employee – been working at Marketing Instincts full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – We work in a fast paced environment with great clients like Sony, Samsung, Google, Microsoft and Warner Bros to name a few. We have the “Real” inside track on how things are done at large companies and are involved with the coolest projects that we can actually see our work launched on TV and events! No boring stuff!
Cons – our clients work long hours so we do to sometimes. it comes with the territory!
Advice to Senior Management – host more fun events for the staff!

Former Employee – worked at Marketing Instincts full-time for less than a year
Pros – The ability to expand my experience in the Marketing field seeing all the items they have created.
Cons – Not knowing when the day of termination will come. Sadly there's no chances to hear if something was done wrong to make it right. One slip up & you're out.
Advice to Senior Management – As the job postings state to work at Marketing Instincts, "a motivated individual will have the opportunity to advance with a successful company & have a career, not just a job". Please give the motivated individual a chance - not just a day.

Former Employee – worked at Marketing Instincts full-time for less than a year
Pros – Water, Soda and TV in breakroom available to employees
Cons – Very quick to judge!
Extremely "Clicky" (you are either in, or yoyr out)
Your fate with this messed up, unorganized company could be decided from your Very First 8 Hour Day!
Advice to Senior Management – Do not be so quick to judge.
It took more than one person to hire your new employee so why let one person decide in an 8 hour shift wheather they "Show enough initiative" or if judging on their personality, do not measure it in the FIRST 8 hour shift!!! Give these people at least one week to get a feel for your processad the do-n-don'ts. This will block some opportunities to make your business progress.

Former Employee – worked at Marketing Instincts full-time
Pros – There are not any pros for this position.
Cons – Lets start out by saying this - ~22-24 people at company - ~7 quit within 4 months
1. Compensation per hour - Salary $34,000 per year = $16.57 per hour based on 40 hour work week... BUT, average work week = 50 to 55 Hours = $13.08 to $11.89 per hour before taxes (thus you are making about $1 more than you would at in-n-out flipping burgers)
- Also, according to legal sources, compensation should be hourly for this position, not salary
2. Hours - You have to wait to be dismissed, which is usually never on time
3. Environment - Stressful (not due to work, but due to communication within the organization)
4. No time for family or friends due to work week
Advice to Senior Management – Decrease the hours or increase the compensation
Hire more people to cover accounts - most of the problems are from improper staffing and training
Learn to communicate - a good percentage of problems are from improper communication between management and employees

Current Employee – been working at Marketing Instincts
Pros – Glad to be working again after being laid off last year. Pretty typical marketing environment, keeping projects on schedule, things changing constantly. My previous experience concentrated on events and trade shows, this is a nice change to be working only Mon-Fri and not weekends with all the travel.
Cons – The type of work we do requires constantly re-prioritizing of your projects. Its a very client focused environment so even when a client changes the details of the project at the last minute we must accommodate them. Sometimes I'd like to just say "no, its too late".
Advice to Senior Management – When assigning projects and clients take into greater consideration which of the staff are most experienced with that industry, age group and target market, even if it was with another company. I sometimes feel that I would be better suited for some of the projects and would love for my past experience within certain industries to carry more weight.
