Good experience in cool industry but some set backs

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsInteresting industry to be in, there are some great people working in the company, you get a lot of hands on experience if you want it

ConsLack of clear communication among employees. Very old building that needs to be updated.

Advice to Senior ManagementOffer more competitive salaries for the hard working employees otherwise there will be a high turn around.

    Avoid at all costs!

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

    Pros- Benefits are ok
    - Get paid on time
    - Interesting industry to work in

Cons- No career advancement. Upper management are all family members and treat employees with no respect.
    - No product innovation. This company proud themselves as the fastest follower. They copy products from other brand names and rush them to the markets.
    - Low pay and long hours.Little people are heavily overworked and turnover rate is high. People constantly changing leads to inefficiency and lots of mistake.
    - One person HR. It's difficult to get help as the hr lady is always too busy.

Advice to Senior ManagementValue your employees more. Stop bragging about the brand values when you can't even take care of your employees.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

The worst company i have ever worked for in my career. A huge career mistake!!

    Brand Manager (Former Employee)
    City of Industry, CA

    ProsWorking in the Beauty Industry
The Creative Team is awesome, and that is IT!

ConsThe Senior management doesn't get it. They don't invest in the employees, the products, nor the building. The enviornment is very depressing, and demotivating.
There is no ethnic diversity here
All this company cares about is making money, there is no emphasis on creativity, innovation, very poor product development.
    Poor Leadership
    Very cut throat
The Marketing team is very junior level
The Marketing Directors are very dated , stuck in the early 90's, don't embrace innovation, creativity, and are very cut throat and defensive
Horrible Human Resources department ( 1 person)
    Horrible Benefits
    Horrible Salaries
You have to clock in and out when you are a salaried employee
This company is a down-grade to someone looking to take their career to the next level
NO resources, can't travel to tradeshows or seminars

Advice to Senior ManagementGet rid of all the marketing directors and replace with experienced more innovative people that care about the products they launch and not just making numbers.
Hire a real product development team, instead of rushing products that are horrible quality out of the Chinese factory that have dated formulations

    so depressed working here...

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    City of Industry, CA

Prossomehow a good addition to your resume

Consmany relatives work in the company...
The 'little people' are overworked, over-stressed, and under-paid here. Please give as default holiday--the day after Thanksgiving, the day after Christmas…etc. Can you believe they don't?!

This is a great entry level position, but there isn't much career advancement.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsThere is work life balance; people are friendly and sociable. This would be an excellent entry level position for people just out of college. Management is capable.

ConsThere is not much room for career advancement since the old timers stay since their pay are more competitive. Salary is not competitive for entry level positions, but benefits are ok.

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement should offer a more competitive salary for entry level positions; if not, turnovers will be high. The managers will have to retrain new employees frequently and will not be able to retain good talented employees.
