I have been working at Marlabs full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Marlabs infuses an entrepreneurial spirit in each of its senior management team members. What I felt for last couple of years is that Marlabs empowers its employees with decision making space and freedom.
It all depends on your manager, but in general they listen to you.

    Cons

Lack of delegated financial management. This causes delay and hinders innovation at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lack of aggression in growing the company. Need some vertical /technology specialized sales team to bring bigger projects.

I have been working at Marlabs as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

Nothing in particular, it operates in the same model as most Indian consulting firms in the US. If you are new to IT industry, this company will help put your foot in the door. The rest depends on your capability to convince the clients.

    Cons

Marketing phase is very slow and time consuming. No support for career development. If you want to excel, put your own efforts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Expand your training facilities and give support to employees for career growth.

    I worked at Marlabs full-time

    Pros

Nice work environment and other peers are okay to work with as well

    Cons

They do not pay commissions out to sales people once you hit your targeted quota. They do not care to hold onto performers. They are only interested in taking your clients that you bring in. Many cons in this company and portray themselves as reputable. Sorry to say, but anyone in their right mind would not go work for them.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Far from being an ethical company from the management and ownership.

I worked at Marlabs full-time for more than a year

    Pros

If you are looking for Work[less] Life[More] balance, this is the company you are searching for.

You will get enough time for shopping, watching movies, playing games etc.

They are good in Professional Services/Body Shopping

They pay pretty well, if you can Convince/Confuse during the interviews.

    Cons

If you are looking for company where you can learn new technology and grown, sorry you are in wrong place.

Software delivery, I doubt whether they know what it is, they are more of Outsourcing/Staff-Aug Company.

During my tenure, I haven’t heard any project delivering on time, forget about quality.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Interested to focus on Software Service, please get some effective energetic target oriented Sale/Pre-Sales Folks on board.

Want to maintain COE, please allocate appropriate Budget. Don’t mix and match COE and Delivery.
