Great community bank that still puts an emphasis on customer service and retaining employees.

    Pros

The comfort and stability in knowing you are valued is very satisfying. Also being able to be open with upper management is great. Very stable job with little turnover. If you want to move into a different department/role, it is a very easy transition.

    Cons

Pay could be a lot better but that can honestly be said about anywhere you work. Since it is a smaller company, moving up takes a lot of time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to increase technology and bring pay up to industry averages or better. Pay is not terrible, but it should be better.

    Pros

It's a neighborhood bank and worker knew and grew up with customers. I was not from the neighborhood that I worked in so customers & some coworkers were not friendly at first, but once they got to know me that changed.

    Cons

No work/home life balance people were petty and knew they had seniority so they'd get the time off they know you needed. More Racist customers that I've ever met and some employees. Disappointed

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Employees and customers should know from your integrity if you have any morals and values and they should know that racism will not be tolerated. Lead by example

    Great people to work with
    Good training program
Rewarded for going above and beyond
    Fantastic work environment
    Understanding management in place

    Cons

Pay could be a lot better
    Sometimes negative feedback is sugarcoated
Communication between departments could be better
    Sometimes inconsistent with employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on the cons. By doing so, Marquette Bank could be the greatest place to work, bank or not. I absolutely love the people there.

    Pros

Flexible hours. Good benefits. Nice people

    Cons

Hard to move up as the company is rather small and people hold on to their jobs for a while. Low salary compared to similar jobs elsewhere
