I have been working at Marriott

Pros – Benefits, People you work with, 7-3 shift is great! Many Hotel guests can be nice and entertaining. Lots of opportunity to Network. Management can be great.

Cons – On your Feet A LOT. Always working, NO down time. Low pay for the amount of work you do in 8 hrs. Management does not step in when a guest is throwing a fit.

Advice to Senior Management – Protect your employees from being yelled or screamed it by hotel guests.

Pros – The best thing about working for marriott were the benefits in the forms of medical, 401 k, disability, education & tuition reimbursement.

Cons – No work life balance. They all preached it- mgrs called all kinds of meeting to reiterate it, but they didn't allow it. They never cared about associates' health issues..

Advice to Senior Management – Treat your associates, ambassaors, or whatever you're calling them today, like PEOPLE. Recognize that your hypocritical views on health & well-being are extremely transparent.
