    medical benefits and the people that you work with.

    Low pay, inconsistent schedule, and constantly being asked to do more with less.

    Advice to Management

    Appreciate the employee's who put in the time and the effort to do their job. I believe that the Marriott has lost it ways of taking care of the employee's. This company is all about finding ways to save an extra dollar or two at the expense of the employee's.

    Pros

    Great benefits package, great opportunity to learn and grow. Great variety of jobs and locations.

    Cons

    Confusing sales parameters, confusing and conflicting sales goals, increase in goals plan to force a dramatic pay cut among sales staff across the board, high turnover due to low salaries and newly increased goals. Old school mentality, high demands, low reward.

    Advice to Management

    Go back to the basics where taking care of your employees was important because in return they took care of your guests.

    Pros

    Great staff, everyone is so friendly and helpful. I was eager to learn and everyone was willing and eager to teach. Able to work in different areas and learn new tasks. I always feel very empowered to help our guests, no matter the task or the issue at hand. Management is very helpful. HR is amazing.

    Cons

    scheduling conflicts, lots of nights and weekends. I am single mom and working the nights and weekends is difficult, and there is not a lot of wiggle room when it comes to schedule changes.

    Pros

    I met many interesting people. I got paid Over time. I did get my requested days off, but only because the restaurant was also closed.

    Cons

    Bad scheduling, long hours, back to back 18hr days. Understaffed.To receive days off, you have to request very far in advance.

    Pros

    Great benefits, hotel perks are awesome as Marriott hotels are worldwide. Marriott associates are very professional and exceptionally friendly.

    Cons

    There was a lack of professional and personal growth in our department. This industry relies heavily on high and low season which makes it difficult to have financial stability during off seasons.

    Advice to Management

    If you value certain employee, ensure that you are in touch or aware about their professional development needs.

    Pros

    The new general manager was effective and taught well.

    Cons

    The previous management got complacent in their jobs. When a customer tells you that your manager is looking down your shirt you know you have a bad work place environment. The person below him that was in charge of the front desk abused her ability to change the schedule and would get people to cover for her in the morning until she was feeling better after a long night and would show up half way through and send someone home instead. Quit after previous manager showed up drunk during the graveyard shift and security was nowhere to be found.

    Pros

    At Marriott International, we are a big family. The company fosters growth for all employees. There are multiple programs that are set to help each associate succeed in achieving goals. There is always dialogue between leadership and associates and that communication is important for the company. I am very pleased and thankful for the opportunity of working alongside awesome individuals.

    Cons

    Personally, I have not experienced any cons.

    Advice to Management

    Just keep practicing J.W. Marriott Sr's Mantra of "Take good care of your employees and they'll take good care of customers."
