    Pros

Marriott hotel discounts can be nice. However, finding a discount on hotels is becoming increasingly difficult. Tuition Reimbursement is offered to full-time employees. They are also really good at working around your school schedule, or at accommodating vacation time.

    Cons

The pay. Previously the generous benefits at Marriott made up fr the low pay. However, the benefits are decreasing every year. Many benefits are being taken away, such as any sort of Christmas bonus, Lagoon tickets, etc.

    Advice to Management

Better communication, and be aware of updated dress code policies, as this can be awkward when you are told that you need to change or shave when it is completely within the Uniform guidelines.

    Pros

Of all the customer service phone jobs I have held, Marriott is far the best. The mabagent, training, stabilty, benefits can't be beat. Treated as an adult with the adherence program you are in charge. The sky is the limit as far as growth.

    Cons

Working on the phones, but one can move up fast within a few months if they show up on time. No con's looking back.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work, let former employees come back. Sometimes we don't know a good thing until its gone.

    Pros

    The hotel discounts were nice.

    Cons

It's a typical call center. Pay is capped out at $11. It's hard to see some Middle Aged co-workers cap out at that, especially when they've been working there 8+ years! Yeah, the discount is nice but if you don't have the PTO to take off and if you're making $10 otherwise, how can you afford trips as much as you'd like? It's not worth it.

    Advice to Management

    Pay your people better.

    Pros

Hours werent too bad. Fun upbeat people to work with. Managers backed up and supported representatives.

    Cons

Desk job. Phone job. Good share of crazy/frustrated customers. Huge company. If you have a suggestion for change it is ignored.

    Pros

Good discounts, awesome coworkers, decent pay, good cheap benefits, can be a fun environment, potential for tips and bonuses

    Cons

Irregular schedules- set schedules don't exist, and majority of the time don't get your schedule until the day before the work week starts, bad/lack of management, stressful environment

    Advice to Management

Stop saying understaffed (especially by not even having an HR), work with employees better

    Pros

Marriott International was a great company to work for. They offered flexible schedules, awesome benefits, and a great work environment. i was employed at a reservation center, but I was in constant contact with other Marriott entities worldwide. I t was a good job.

    Cons

You have to have a lot of flexibility when working, depending on the nature of your job. You also may have to travel. If you are not a people person then it is not for you.

    Advice to Management

    Hire me again!!!

    Pros

They are very flexible with your need for time off. Their attendance policy is very useful, once you learn how to work with the rules. The benefits are awesome, expensive, but awesome.

    Cons

There is very little opportunity for promotion. You are stuck on the floor, unless you are a mindless and uneducated worker bee. There was also very little communication from upper management. The employees come in three categories, those that are there for a short time, uneducated people who are there because they can't get anything better, and college students. If you are a college student, don't expect a promotion. Also, very few people actually get to the hotel they want, if they get to a hotel at all. If you want to be at a hotel, you are better off to start there. Once you get to a certain pay you will not likely to get them to pay that at a hotel.

    Advice to Management

    They need to communicate better.
