    Pros

Excellent optional benefits program, competitive pay in their fields

    Cons

Very corporate. Some departments have 5 associates and 2 supervisors. Pro or con depending on who you ask.

    Advice to Management

As long as the company is profitable, don't change a thing.

    Pros

Good Benefits, great property, lots of growth opportunity. The hotel is located close to Downtown and the airport. Pretty views.

    Cons

Not loyal. They are very quick to change the hours, or to reduce your hours. They do not care about your own schedule or family life.

    Pros

there is a fair amount of paperwork but overall it is quiet and non- stressful. The guest are normally happy people and there is security for the over night shift.

    Cons

They low wages are not much more than minimum wage and annual raises are about 2.5%. Work loads streadly increase with knowledge but the wages do not match.

    Advice to Management

    Stop being cheap.

    Pros

As a waitress I received full benefits, including health insurance, paid time off and retirement. Seemed like there were good opportunities for growth if you were interested in the supervisor/management track.

    Cons

Pay was not that great if you wanted to transition into a supervisor or such. A couple of the servers/bartenders tried out being a supervisor but the pay cut was too much so they went back to serving. Also, all hands on deck over the holidays, etc.

    Pros

The team work at JW Marriott is outstanding! Each department connects with other departments to ensure that guests have an outstanding experience! The company truly cares about each employee. There are a lot of growth opportunities with each hotel!

    Cons

Given that the resort is a top resort the pay is a little lower. This is counterbalanced by the benefits that the company offers.

    Pros

If you are a hard worker and care about what you contribute, then you will be supported to move around or move up by your direct leadership team. Marriott hires associates who have previous experience in their field so everyone knows what they are doing. Teamwork is awesome. Always ways to learn more and get involved. There are times where there are extra hours for overtime when the hotel is busy, if you are hourly. We also do fun events and contests to keep it fun.

    Cons

If you are part-time, it may be a little difficult sometimes to get hours if it is slow. Hotel industry is always up and down; unpredictable business.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the hard work at Starr Pass Resort!!!
