Pros
Friendly and supportive colleagues
Proximity to MRT station
Cons
Located in an industrial area
long working hours, no overtime pay although staff are expected to stay overtime
Lack of standard procedures
Little empathy from the management
Growth prospects and career progression is slow
Little room for creativity
Advice to Senior Management
Please revamp the staff welfare over there or you will lose the people who are creative
Pros
You are spreading knowledge around the world through your work and publications! How cool is that!
Appreciative colleagues that understand & empathise with each other.
Cons
-Colleagues & supervisors that understand & empathise with each other but cannot do anything for fear of being reprimanded.
-The politicking & back stabbing culture in management, divisions & departments that eventually will have you caught-up in the crossfire.
-'Are you with me or with them' group culture.
-Long working hours (9.75 hrs x 5-day week) with overtime work on weekends and up to early mornings (eg 3.00am)expected to be performed during peak periods.
-Salary does not match workload.
-Be prepared to perform work beyond your job scope, sacrifice your dignity, self esteem and privacy
Advice to Senior Management
Take a good look at your mission statement and practice what you preach.
