I worked at Maruti Suzuki full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great network and people . Good learning environment. Freedom to chose projects and work on them initially.

    Cons

Constraint of years in growth. Growth depends on years put in not on your performance. Punch system in factory and same dress everyday.

I have been working at Maruti Suzuki as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

    As an intern:
You get to do a lot of work
You start functioning as a regular employee nearly
You attend all meetings and there is also a chance to meet the General Managers and Vice Presidents, as everybody is extremely approachable.

    Cons

There is nothing as a PPO for interns
And sometimes engineering interns are given work of data entry, which is sad.
The work life is too bad. They just say it has a fixed time, whereas there is no fixed time nor a holiday!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is a need to take internship seriously and providing PPO as these people already have the Maruti experience

I have been working at Maruti Suzuki as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

    1. A typical 9 to 6 job. Employees find enough time for themselves as well.
    2. Pretty relaxed atmosphere, one never feels too rushed.
    3. A very stable job compared to consulting jobs where risk of non performance leading to pink slips are higher.
ideal company for those who wants to lead a very easy balanced government employee kind of life.

    Cons

    1. not very challenging environment. Not for the those who loves challenges.
    2. too stable for my liking
    3. not a very active work environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management could make things move a little faster than this. currently employees are getting a lot of room for leeways. it can and should tighten things up for the betterment of its growth and success.

I have been working at Maruti Suzuki full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Nothing more than Brand Name.

    Cons

Full of Bossism, Meaningless pressure, company don't have any ethics, completely wrong direction from top management. Very slow growth. No logic on how boss arrives at employee grades. No support from Boss. What else. The worst working culture. Lot of paper work and very stubborn bosses who are not ready for new ideas.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remove all those so called DVMS & DDVMS. Change your gears. Give soft skills training to all bosses. Pls remember the fact that employees are not slaves. After Manesar incident also you are not waking up. Some years down the line you will not get quality manpower at all. Stop FARGEY. Show actual numbers.

I have been working at Maruti Suzuki full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Brand Name, Great leaders at the top, growth is not at ease, No perks - compensation comparatively satisfactory.

    Cons

Since it is a big group so training content also generalized, in case any special training required then have to wait pretty long.
    No time off policies
Since 6 days working so little bit hard in keeping work-life balance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Distribution of work is not equal among all the departments. Flexibility need to improve. New technology need to adopt for the benefit and growth of individual as well as the organization.

I have been working at Maruti Suzuki full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Leader in Automobile Industry, Strong brands, Robust Systems, Innovation in Cost Cutting- Either in process or HR systems.Lots to learn at least for first 4-5 years of one's career

    Cons

7 days week, leave only on paper, profile is like a policeman- you can be called anytime, while your kid's birthday celebration, immediately after your " Suhaag Raat" etc if material is running short, or there is a line problem; which is everytime. High Politics and except few good top leaders, filled with idiots in middle management level (esp. DPM level). Poor HR practices, even Manesar has resulted in no change on ground. Company still functions like 1983..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please move ahead from 1973. This is the 21st century..
