I worked at Mary Kay full-time

    Pros

Great work/life balance. Management supports advanced education and the company has a tuition reimbursement program. Above average medical and retirement benefits. Generally, friendly work environment.

    Cons

Slow career advancement due to management not being required to move around the company. Leadership is tight with budgets and rarely invest in new software/technology. Not a lot of structured on-boarding training for new employees.

    Advice to Management

Find better ways to keep top talent and advance high performers.

I worked at Mary Kay full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Mary Kay offers the most incredible incentives, such as jewelry, purses, and cars. Mary Kay products sell them selves. The company provides an amazing support network that can be tapped into as often or as little as desired. You are your own boss.

    Cons

For the most part selling Mary Kay is about networking and being able to connect with people, so if you are not an out going people person this is not for you.

    Advice to Management

I cant wait to get more familiar with the area in which I have moved and get to know more people here. As soon as I am more firmly rooted I absolutely plan on reinstating my consultant ship.
