    Pros

Opportunity to learn some new things. Lot's of ability to go and work collaboratively with different departments simultaneously

    Cons

Poor paying, compared to other jobs in the industry. Lots of infighting between senior leadership to the point where it makes daily operations with other departments inherently adversarial.

    Pros

I like working for Marzetti. I really enjoy working with the staff, and the company is always busy. There are opportunities to work overtime, which is great if I was sick or had an emergency during the week.

    Cons

The work is physically demanding. I have noticed that some workers get job related injuries in their back, shoulders, knees, and wrists. This may all be due to poor form or lack of physical strength.

    Advice to Management

Conduct basic knowledge and physical training after hiring. Should follow up with each employee about any current or reoccurring injuries.

    Pros

I like Marzetti because it's an Ohio company who has old school thought process. Do the right thing to all suppliers. Be loyal. Have a respected stable presence in the marketplace and a clean facilities. Many talented down to earth people at all levels of this company. If you have found a home here and you can get them to give you a good wage go for it. Workforce is maturing.

    Cons

More diversity within upper level management is needed. Salary is lower than state average for my former position.

    Advice to Management

Offer bonus incentives to all on a quarterly basis. Encourage higher education to employees. Become more digital and loose the paper.

    Pros

Exposure to many different responsibilities within various business units. Endless opportunities to learn. Value and appreciation as a team member.

    Cons

Additional responsibilities cause you to spread thin. Promotion opportunities are few and far between.

    Advice to Management

Flex schedules and some work from home policies would help work/life balance. Implementation of succession plan would be highly valued. Personal growth and promotions has room to grow.

    Pros

Its a good paying job. Great benefits and there is a lot of overtime. Union job if that is a good thing.

    Cons

Being white you will face a lot of racism. Most employees don't speak English. There are several black gang members that flash weapons in the parking lot. Management found a loaded gun in a employees locker because this is a union workforce the employee was wrote up and not fired.

    Advice to Management

Why are only five employees out of 400 white. And why do you do nothing about the racism in the workplace. Maybe require that your employees are us citizens and can speak English.
