    Pros

Good benefits Good pay if you're a good installer

    Cons

The turn over rate is very high, the pay is very low for the amount of work done, and even employees that have been with the company for 10+ years are not getting paid what they should.

    Pros

Benefits are good, if a little pricy, low annual increases but decent annual bonuses.

    Cons

With several rounds of layoffs over the last 8 years or more, everyone is expected to do the work of multiple people.

    Advice to Management

I would suggest paying better and hire more people. Masco has lost too many talented employees in many areas!

I worked at Masco full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent pay and benefits, low stress. A company that really seemed to care for the employees.

    Cons

I didn't like the lay offs. The way the lay offs were handled were poor as well. No judge on an employees work ethic or character, just whoever could have their territory covered easier.

    Advice to Management

Listen to field reps more. They are the face of the company. Everyone sees them and they know more of what is going on in the stores.

I worked at Masco full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

You have a lot of freedom and total autonomy in your job. You are not tied down to an office. You do not work with your boss over your head. You go to a different Lowe's store every day, maintain customer service with Lowe's employees, help customers, train Lowe's employees and maintain sets are displayed properly and reset displays. You get a company car, health insurance, 401K with match. The job is very easy.

    Cons

Low pay. Can get monotonous being in a Lowe's store all day when there are not very many projects to accomplish. Not much opportunity to move up. The organization constantly changes from year to year. Just as you get used to doing things one way, they completely change it on you. They have gone through 3 sets of layoffs in the past 2 years so keeping the job may be hard at this point in time. They seem to have the attitude that they know they pay you a low wage but that if you want more out of your position leave, cause we can find more people to fill you place if you leave.

    Advice to Management

Pay the good associates that you have better so that people do not want to leave. It cost more to train a new person than to keep a current good associate. Don't change the way everything works every year or two. As soon as people get used to a system let them do it for a while before you constantly change everything.
