    Pros

They are connected with great organizations.

    Cons

Specifically regarding the Healthcare Staffing office in PA: Expect to randomly know salary ranges for positions off the top of your head, because they aren't going to tell you a range, and most likely let you agree to a lower salary so they can keep the rest for themselves. Do not expect them to return phone calls or emails to update you about the status of your application process. Do not expect to be able to speak with a supervisor or manager of recruiters because they only go to voice mail as well. Worst staffing experience of my life and cost me to lose out on a position/organization I was passionate about working at.

    Advice to Management

Be more accessible to your candidates. Have an actual operator that answers the phones. Insist that your staff return phone calls and emails. A dissatisfied customer will tell between 9-15 people about their experience. (White House Office of Consumer Affairs). Is this the image you want for your company, in the age of social media?

I worked at Mastech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great fellow employees to work with

    Cons

No vision at the top level of management, poor pay, lot of layoffs, poor morale, don't care about their employees, purchased Spectrum Financial Systems out of Charlotte NC and over the past three years have transformed a great company that had vision, was growing, employees had positive attitudes and looked forward to the future, to a company that is significantly loosing revenue and customer base, with dissatisfied employees that are fearfully of loosing their jobs.

    Advice to Management

Show your employees that they are valuable to the company, restructure upper management.

I worked at Mastech full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are few very good sales and recruiting team members who can help.

    Cons

They do not support employee. They do not run payroll as promised. They terminate employees once out of project and with poor management skills in the company there are times your offers are lost though you have done good in interviews.

    Advice to Management

Stop false promises of 1 month payroll running and do not terminate employees and play with their life.

    Cons

No Career growth Dont expect to get any new projects once current is done Termination beyond 2 weeks of bench Not good in maintaining relationship with clients Do not expect any level of professionalism Poor internal communication/leadership Old bodyshoping model with people managing from other countries not knowing what thay are doing

    Advice to Management

You cannot advice people who do not participate in Day to day activities or overseeing decisions.

I have been working at Mastech full-time

    Pros

Large U.S.-based Job Shop, not a "Mom & Pop" business Regular pay Congenial employees Decent benefits, if F/T Hundreds of India-based recruiters

    Cons

Struggling to become a Salesforce.com Consulting Partner Management mostly former retirerees, or close to it, unable to keep ahead of rapidly changing technology, or to think out-of-the-box As with any IT Job Shop, must be continuously interviewing to be assigned to a new project, else face layoff, if on the bench

    Advice to Management

Steal top management from your more successful competitors, they are eating your lunch!

I worked at Mastech full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

not sure if there are any pros....let me think harder....yes, benefits are good (they cover your parents for free in medical insurance)

    Cons

    - Poor Management - Treats employees like animals , Donkeys to be precise - Work environment is poor and management tries to keep employees under constant pressure. I think this is the reason their attrition rate is so high - They don't care about employee satisfaction - Fire employees like no other company. if you are not performing for 2 consecutive months be ready to get fired - Worst, during full and final they will try to steal every penny possible from you - Interestingly, i was given 2 checks in my full and final and they both bounced."Mastech", I still have those checks!!

    Advice to Management

Start treating your employees like human beings
