Pros
professional environment
nice, polite culture
good pay
Cons
many layers, hard to get ahead, no clear career path, very very political, passive aggressive culture, ineffective HR department. horrible managers are tolerated for too long, should be quicker to fire people that do not perform or have numerous complaints filed agains them.
Advice to Senior Management
make the organization flatter so people feel empowered to make decisions! and get rid of ineffective managers.

Managing multiple clients simulateneously may lead to stress.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up good work
Pros
Exciting environment, truly a global company, excellent long-term prospects for continued development in the payments space, great opportunity to be creative in a financial services / product company.

Poor communication (historically) regarding company changes, highly political environment that can delay good business decisions, slow to implement good ideas or products.
Pros
flexibility, benefits, pay, and environment
Cons
very political with raises and promotions given without merit
Pros
Exciting, current industry with great learning opportunities
Cons
Lack of transparency from middle management
Advice to Senior Management
This is a credit card company. Business owners should be using a MasterCard to make all corporate purchases.
Pros
Proximity to the business development line of decision and strategic intiatives that are allowing a clearer visibility from a technological perspective
Cons
Process of decision making sometimes slower than acceptable, meaning time to market much longer than realistically possible for most of the initiatives
Pros
Compensation and flexibility is good
Cons
No Leadership, senior executive vision
Advice to Senior Management
Engage more with employees
Pros
- flexible work schedule
- good industry
- profitable company
Cons
- HR too intrusive
- too much Process
Advice to Senior Management
Minimize the process at all levels, not just at the top
Pros
Work/life balance
Great commute for those living in Westchester
Cons
Too many people have been here forever who are set in their ways and unwilling to allow innovative thinking.
If someone sticks around long enough they become a manager - even if they are not qualified.
Newcomers are not made to feel welcome by people who have been here for a long time.
Having worked in other large companies, the talent at MC does not compare. People stay here because they can't go anywhere else!
Not a place for people who are driven.
Advice to Senior Management
Take a hard look at the people who have been here for 20+ years and ask yourself if they are here because they are bright & talented or because they have learned how to work the system and are not willing to work as hard as they would have to if they were to start someplace new. Better yet, COULD they get another job? Would you hire them now if they weren't already part of the organization?
We will never take the lead if our managers are from an old school network and are setting the tone of how things are done here - processes that are 20+ years old are not going to bring us to the top.
