I worked at MasterCard full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Very creative environment. They are willing to allow experimentation, which is very satisfying. You have to be able to thrive on chaos since there is a lot going on. I do, so I loved it.

    Cons

Some resources don't contribute much and thus their focus tends to be on tangential matters, which creates a frustrating environment at times.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider weeding out the low performers. Their equal "participation" during decision making could be discouraging.

I have been working at MasterCard full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

I think the pay and benefits are among the best in the payments industry. The company is extremely stable, excellent financials, and outstanding stock performance since IPO in 2006.

    Cons

Need to focus more on promoting from within. Sometimes slow to market with new products and services. In some cases, a follower rather than a leader.

I have been working at MasterCard full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

MasterCard has evolved quite a bit since its IPO in 2006. Bottom line, it's a fantastic place to work, with exceptional opportunities and more than its share of thought leadership. It may sound corny, but I'm proud to tell people I work at MasterCard. I've been on the MasterCard IPS team for several years now, and it's great to work with a supurb group of dedicated people and extraordinary management team.

    Cons

I'm finding it difficult to come up with a 'con' for MasterCard or MasterCard IPS. MasterCard IPS is an ideal team -- best I've ever worked with.
