I have been working at Materialise full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

3d printing is an innovative business, there are lots of opportunities to take action, learn (by yourself and from colleagues).

    Cons

There is little structure to keep yourself oriented at long-term goals, daily production always comes first and intervenes. Hard work gets noticed by your direct colleagues, but not by upper management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want to keep growing, take care of your personel; listen to the people who have the knowlegde, don't stare blindly at the numbers.

I have been working at Materialise full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Good innovative environment, friendly people.

    Cons

Poor mid-level & low-level management, TLs are usually "dispatchers" with minor leading role.
Non-transparent dependence betwem poff.level/results & benefits, "cheap" style in everything.
After interview first with HR then with people manager (who let me know that salary I'm applying for is not too high for my level) HR manager called me and in phone mode tried to find out will I agree to work for the smaller salary! I said no & got a job offer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make at least some attempts to motivate most productive people who can shift the limits with benefits.

    Cons

No drive to break limits, below average compensation for senior staff

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If u want to stay a mediocre company - do what you do with fresh grads.
Otherwise put a few true business leader and couple of talented well motivated engineer in your teams. Opportunities are mindblowing for what you do.

I have been working at Materialise full-time

    Pros

People in this company are professional and it is good start for a sb with a bachelors degree. I found it relatively easy to adapt to their way of work.

    Cons

They hire any body regards less of the fact that they might be over qualified for the position.
the benefits are not good compared to other companies,
    salaries are NOT competitive.
Working environment is very very dull( might be different in other sectors as they have many but I doubt it)
technologies being used are not always up to-date,
the company seems generally speaking cheap, in terms of providing equipment ( desks, Chairs) .
Management is very friendly with the employees and this masks the problems and they think that because they are friendly employees will tell them what they really think, but this is not true as the employees find the communicating with the management hopeless.

*These are personal judgments and might not be true for some employees specially some of the more senior ones.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve the working environmental and facilities.

Bed mix of responsibilities and governance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Try to hire experts.
