    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Nice place to work Amazing people Lot oportunities to get new acknowlege and apply it Flat organization Average Benefits

    Cons

Average Benefits There are not a real plan about grow with Matrikon Freeze Salaries(But it is not Matrikon Problem, recession was the problem). There are not a real route map in short, middle and long term.

    Advice to Management

Take the advantage of Flat organization in order to get fresh ideas from new people, sometimes is hard to see outside the hole and new people can provide new ideas. With a Flat organization should exist a technical caree that allow grow with the company and allow to get salary raise.

    Pros

Matrikon is flexible in the hours worked. The "progressive" managers are reasonable and look to make balance of work / life there. The "social" aspect is great in the means there are Fun Fridays, the company has a yoga instructor coming in for those who want to participate (at a small $2 fee per person). The company is a mixture of young and old. There is always an opportunity to advance - for the people who work hard and show their abilities. The open door policy can be from entry level right to the office of the president - if need be.

    Cons

Many people say pay is not there to a level of others - then again you make your own deals and you have to decide what you want. The benefits - this is something that needs to be bettered. As the company hires young people they marry and have kids, better benefits - health spending or orthodontic would be great. An RRSP or some type of pension would be a KICKER! The company is great at hiring young people and promoting them....unfortunately these people may not be the best "management" choices when it comes to dealing with people. If supervisors and management were required to complete training before going into a more senior position it would educate them on the "human capital" - yes we know they know their technical side....but add on dealing with people and it becomes a whole new ball game.

    Advice to Management

Training for management and supervisors. Push for better benefits for the staff....not just better pay for yourself. LISTEN and TALK to the people at the front lines. To you a job might take just a minute to complete (so you think) but as the person at the front line and to get you that little number could take them hours of work.
