    Great

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGreat company to work with, good values and it provides innovative solutions.

ConsExecutive management should work better with mid-level management, there is a bit of a disconnect.

Advice to Senior ManagementRecognition for the low level employees who work very hard to make management look good. More perks for low level employees.

One of the Best in the Industry

Business Manager (Current Employee) San Jose, CA

ProsVery strong Company. Good financial stability, and great people to work with. There have been many positive changes in the past few years. Beautiful new San Jose campus, and facilities upgrades in most global offices, focused effort on employee engagement and development, new training programs offered, and great benefits. The company appreciates employees who take initiative and produce results.

ConsMaking the necessary changes to invest in the right products has resulted in some office closures. Culture is a con if you don't like a fast paced environment.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue to work on development of managers and communications to keep everyone in the loop on key activities. Acquisitions that will add short term to our revenue.

Maxim was great in the 90's

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsEngineering is very solid and the company has the potential to be great again.

ConsThe current CEO and CFO don't think twice about terminating people that are still strong contributors. All they care about is market perception. There was a time when this was not the case. The problem with their approach is that they have destroyed moral. No person feels safe at Maxim so people operate under constant fear and are terrified of making a mistake. This makes for a very unhealthy work environment. It is very sad as the original CEO would never have let this happen. Outsourcing and purchasing external innovation is the new model.

Advice to Senior ManagementReplace the current CEO and stop throwing away American jobs. Be bold and take risk's without outsourcing.

Part of acquisition where morale steadily worsened and had to endure several rounds of layoffs

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsGood diversity in types of products. Good stock plans

ConsCompany didn't give non focus product lines much of a chance to grow. Career stability was impacted by number of layoffs after acquisition.

Advice to Senior ManagementVery little contact from upper management

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
