    Pros

Great customer base, great legacy, Excellent benefits and pay. Great facilities, Blue Chip customer base. Great vacation policy, some smart people

    Cons

The company claims to be innovative but they still manage the development like they did in 1989. Management (TD, MM in particular) seem to think they can innovate using a Finance spreadsheet and project plan. Hey guys, you cant! It takes a clever person or team with the intestinal fortitude to move forward when the difficult problems emerge! Followers quit when they get to the hard part. Innovators have the courage and vision to plow through the most difficult problems. Ten companies will easily develop the easy, predictable products and then they will beat each other up on margins. Successful innovators love the hard problems because they know the other nine competitors will give up before solving the problem. TD and MM need to step away from their spreadsheets and project plans and listen to their customers and their most courageous and passionate innovators! The company stock price and revenue has remained relatively flat since the recovery. Their legacy business is shrinking and they have laid off their most creative staff for not innovating fast enough!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Tunc, Matt, Look in the mirror guys, after this many years with you two at the lead, there is not other group, customer or product line to blame! Place your bets on the bold, passionate and clever. You can't analyze your way into innovation. You will not maintain your gross margin targets without innovative products. Stop buying dead companies for $$$ (e.g. Volterra).

    Pros

Very strong Company. Good financial stability, and great people to work with. There have been many positive changes in the past few years. Beautiful new San Jose campus, and facilities upgrades in most global offices, focused effort on employee engagement and development, new training programs offered, and great benefits. The company appreciates employees who take initiative and produce results.

    Cons

Making the necessary changes to invest in the right products has resulted in some office closures. Culture is a con if you don't like a fast paced environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to work on development of managers and communications to keep everyone in the loop on key activities. Acquisitions that will add short term to our revenue.

    Pros

Engineers there are very read to help any entry level students and I can get familiar with the skills needed in a short time. The company has a very flexible time schedule so that sometimes you can relax a little bit but just remember the due date!

    Cons

I do not like the transportation system although the employees can take the trains for free. It is better to have your own car.

    Pros

Very nice, new campus. Good IT support. Decent benefits.

    Cons

Some technical staff in the labs are hostile. Every month either a manager or director changes. Constant restructuring. Brutal, very unstable company in terms of laying masses off unlike in old days.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Instead of laying off junior and mid-level technical staff, try to utilize them in other BUs since they are cheaper and easier to train.

    Pros

Company makes good products and has a very motivating culture. Provides you relevant training material and online classes to excel at the job.

    Cons

Don't like the model of evaluating employees. Not everyone in the group can get a high evaluation score which affects the yearly bonus.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Should re-focus on evaluation of annual review. It's discouraging that average of the group score should be maintained across the company.
