I worked at Maxim Staffing Solutions full-time

    Pros

I appreciated the small match with the 401K yearly. Dental insurance was very inexpensive.

    Cons

After 7 years I make exactly $.60 hourly more than the new hires. The work load and stress is incredible. You are given the option to eat at your desk and be paid through lunch which is encouraged. There is no such thing as a daily break. The bonus structure is basically non existent for CCs compared to the other employees.

    Advice to Management

Make sure that your business managers are ethical and not only watching out for their own interests and their bottom line. You are losing a lot of great employees because the atmosphere can be intolerable.

I have been working at Maxim Staffing Solutions full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You learn a lot within the company and they are big about promoting within

    Cons

A lot of sexism and glass ceiling effect. Very much like a fraternity and little training involved. Entire company is all about the "numbers" while not caring about its external employees. Pay is very low and the best way of getting into the company is if you know someone. Long hours and you're expected to have lunch at your desk without any other breaks throughout the day.

    Advice to Management

Train more on how to recruit properly instead of having people "figure it out." I don't feel it's a good look for the company when you throw recruiters out there to "figure it out as you go" because it could end up costing you clients and sales.

    Pros

-Will hire new grads with no experience -Not a bad resume builder so that you can get hired somewhere else.

    Cons

Zero opportunities for growth for non-recruiters. Extremely low pay. No employee appreciation. Bad business model - they hire all new grads and then promote recruiters to managers after about a year, so the managers don't have any management experience. Unprofessional conduct from managers. No career development / training available. Recruiters are expected to work 50 hours a week and be on call overnight and on weekends. Huge gap in pay and treatment between management and non-managers.

    Advice to Management

Start appreciating your employees more, because you're going to continue to lose talented people if you continue to pay them so low and don't have any opportunities for growth.
